At first, I picture a heavenly scene(chuckle) - the place being a land of snow, with clouds used for transport; all my favourite candies and crackers lined up beside a bed where there is the biggest ever teddy bear( I love teddy bears ); then, the usual stuff about the place being completely devoid of anything but good.

On second thought, I'd say this IS heaven.
O, come on! The things I said are too good to be true.
Besides, if everything (not just candies but also the stuff about world peace etc.)we wanted was present, I'm sure that we'd not know their true values.
Only when there are good things and bad things in theworld can we fell the presence of one another and appreciate their values.

Have you ever seen "What Dreams May Come" ? Good movie. Heaven in that movie is a place in which you can live in a painting, or fly, or look however you like, or live wherever you want. Your mind controls the reality.

That's what heaven is like if it exists. Everything comes into being by the power of the mind - like an eternal dream. That's my opinion.

Hi there,
I've been there after an accident, and had to come back to look after my 3 children, it was that beautiful and completely tranquil and peaceful, with the most amazing harmonious music and colours that are undiscribable while we are living here on earth. And yes, the ones that have departed before you and you are closest to, they ARE THERE to greet you and trying to help you in your confusion, but in my case they also impressed onto my mind that my time is not up yet and I have to return to look after my kids until they are grown up. It has also changed my life around completely, in the sense as what is important while we are here in this life, and what is not. I also became much more curious about finding out more, about what comes after this life we are living now, and it is a fascinating subject, although lots of people think I am crazy when I answer their questions honestly, irrespective of what they would like to hear. If you like to find out more about my experience, you can e-mail me on inga4641@yahoo.co.uk

A VERY GOOD QUESTION! Everyone's concept of heaven is different. I posted a question on here a few days ago about what people thought paradise would be like, and it yielded varying responses. For the record, here is my vision of heaven:

* ABUNDANCE of everything, riches, money, natural resources, food, positive human qualities etc. All we need do is know that it is there, and then go and help ourselves. EVERYONE is entitled to an unlimited share...all THEY have to do is know it.

* POSITIVITY - I believe that negativity is THE great stumbling block to all achievements and happiness here on earth, so in my heaven, people are taught from a very early age to think and believe in positive things. Then they develop glorious mindsets and belief systems, which shape great experiences for them.

* DIVERSE SCENERY - Beaches, deserts, oceans, lakes, meadows, altiplanos, mountains, volcanoes, characterful villages and towns, glorious and vibrant cities, ice caps, marshlands, flowing rivers, abundant crop fields, glaciers and things we have never experienced before.

* HOMOGENOUS MIX OF INHABITANTS - I will stretch my imagination further than humans and call them 'inhabitants' (though this term could include humans). Everybody is free to be themselves, and practice whatever culture they wish. The only 'catch' they have to respect everyone else's choice too, and accept them for what they are. Everyone is educated about other cultures, and groups living there (this avoids misunderstandings, fear, judgements and war). People practice their cultures in full and glorious fashion. Festivity is the name of the game. Everyone is beautiful in their own special way.

* CLIMATE has a bit of everything. Nature has to send all types of weather in order for 'life' to flourish, and if we have an abundance of everything, we also have an abundance of rainfall, sunshine, hot and cold.

* COLOUR - I can't stand dull, dreary places so heaven is very colourful. The colours are provided either by Nature, or by the inhabitants. Whichever, they are perfect.

* LOVING ATMOSPHERE - Goes hand in hand with the people here, but if everyone goes about their lives with a loving and respectful, altruistic attitude, it makes for a great place to be. Here, friendship and loved ones are always near. Nobody need be isolated or alienated.

* SELF-EXPRESSION - Everyone is free to be themselves, and show this world who they really are (as long as nobody is harmed in the process).

* ARTISTRY - music, films, theatre, performing arts, painting, artisanal crafts, artefacts unique to each culture. Things we haven't yet envisaged here on Earth.

* The concept of TIME is different - people live more in the present and live for the day (hopefully one day, I'll work out how to do this!)

Okay, I could write a lot more but these are the top 10 essentials. But wait a minute.....we have all of these things RIGHT HERE ON EARTH! All we need to do is adjust our thinking and our mindscapes, and we will create Heaven, right here, right now.

When I think about Heaven, I think about streets of gold, angel choirs, and sitting at the foot of Jesus, the one who gave his life for me.
I also think about no more sorrow, burdens, heartaches, no more death. The thought that he gives us life eternal is wonderful. I long to be there, Heaven is my goal and I am trying hard to stay focused on being a christian and not listening to all the garbage that is out there now.

How can that question be answered? St John when he wrote revelations, that is his experience of what he physically saw in heaven, he could not describe it saying that there are things there that "...no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor even had enetered into the heart of man."

It would be the place that contains no traces of sadness, pain nor sorrow, abiding eternally in the loving grace and peace that only the King of Peace Himself can provide.

Heaven will be only good things. The Bible gives a physical description of it. But better than that, there will be no pain, no tears, no suffering....I tell my kids that every bad thing they can think of in life will not be in Heaven. (No murder, no mosquitoes, no death, no labor, etc....) The land of milk and honey baby!!!

Heaven will be more wonderful than I can ever imagine. It says so in the Bible so why try to picture something, thats impossible.
