Trying to find a good package from Singapore, doesn't mind if it is a budget airline and engage a local tour guide over there. Any suggestions ?

i wanted to go to hainan for a long time.. finally made it there in march. huge disappointment. stayed at the holiday inn which was very nice (but could hear chairs moving upstairs), but went out to the beach and there were huge rats running around the bushes just before the sand.. and big holes in the sand with funny looking crabs popping out. the people were not friendly. i asked a taxi driver why and he said "it's arrogance because hainan is known worldwide and everyone there knows it.."... he's from a different part of china. the city sanya itself is just like any other dusty polluted city in china. ur better off just taking a trip to batam.
