You can get an STD.
You can have an STD right now and not know it. You can give her an STD without knowing you have one.
Condoms help stop the spread of HIV/AIDS because they keep the semen separate from the mucus membranes in the mouth, vagina and anus.
Condoms do not stop you from kissing, or performing oral sex on a female (well, a dental dam will) and both of those can give you STD's quite easily.
The best way not to get an STD, besides abstinence? KNOW YOUR PARTNER well enough to go GET TESTED with them before you get intimate...sorry...just the facts.
Remember, sex once may be great, but an STD that lasts forever from sex once? Not so great anymore...

Your penis isn't the ONLY thing you can get an STD from. Your fingers, mouth, etc... you could already HAVE an STD and not know it. The new girl may have one too. If you are concerned that much you should both get tested at the local free clinic. Of course it's a good choice not to sleep around and to be very picky with whom you are intimate with, i.e. monogamous like the other poster said.

Yes there is always a possibility to catch and STD, but if ur afraid of catching one, go to the Family planing clinic and have a blood test done, they will tell you if you have anything at all. there are a few that take some time IE Herpes and such, but if you have something it will be in ur blood. I would not be so scared of that, think about pregnancy, do you think ur ready to be a parent, if not then either abstain or use a condom....

std-sexually transmitted diseases r transmitted by sexual route during an unsfe intercourse. They r transmitted if ur sexual partner is suffering from them.STD's include Gonorrhoea, syphillis, chancroid,LGV.
The risk of contracting is higher if u or ur partner has multiple sexual partners.Always use safe sexual measures if u r not sure whether ur partner is suffering from STD or not.Better go for VDRL test to rule out if u r suffering from STD.

There's always a chance, even with a condom. Become monogamous and use your hands.
