I think it is OK only occasionally. When we give our kids something we need to ask ourselves how much it effects our own body. Since our children are still growing, it does the same thing only worse to them. Now caffeine isn't that bad, but it can slow their metabolism after it wears off like it does adults and kids really need that energy to grow. They also need to be able to get enough sleep. The caffeine plays a part in that also!
blessed be.

I don't think there is anything wrong with this. Soon after my mother gave birth to me she realized i was allergic to milk. Please keep in mind that this was 28 years ago in Mexico, so back then & there they had no formulas like the ones they have here, (Enfamil-Lactose) My Dad had just arrived to the U.S to work, so my mother was pretty much on her own and didn't know what to withme so in her desperation my grandpa filled up my bottle with coffee and thats pretty much all i drank. I am now 28 years old and there is nothing wrong with me, Only that caffeine doesn't affect me like it does other people. Caffeine doesn't wake me up when i'm tired. i guess that's it. C-ya:)

Kids can be allowed to take caffeine but in little quantities. Bearing in mind that it stimulates the central nervous system, it should not be taken excessively to avoid negative consequences.

Depends on how old the kids. 15 - 16 - sure. 2-3 years old... I don't think so. But then, at that age just trying to will show that they don't want to let them have it, kids who are pretty active, become even more active, and most parents are not really prepared to handle that.

Only in small amounts (like in coke) not in those caffeine drinks or coffee. It is not good for their development. In coke make sure you limit it

I try not to with mine, at least not till they hit their teens. I put it in the same catagory as suger and certain food dyes that can cause hyperactivity and ADHD so I refuse for my children to touch the stuff.
