I really want to know, cuz im a christian and believe that life's duties take so much quality time with your spouse away from u,leaving u with few opportunities to share emotion and love to strengthen the relationship with even just one woman.even if u can afford it financially, how can one wife of four be assured her husband is always there to protect and care for her?and how can a man do it?

it is not necessary to marry 4 women NOW since Islam have grown stronger. the reason why this Law was created is for Muslims to increase in number.
but if you wanna know about how to devote and be fair to all 4 women there's guide lines you must follow. and if you were to be unfair to any of your wives you will be committing a sin.
you will have to ask a scholar as i have never married four women neither did any one i know or knew.
peace.

As you love your kids if they are 3 or 4
Historically, most of the prophets married more than one wife christians and jews know about prophet Abraham'story with his 3wives.Abraham had 3 wives in the bible: Sarah, Hagar, and Keturah. (In book of GENESIS)
-Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines. (1 KINGS 11:3)
-David had many wives (2 SAMUELS 5:13 i see Polygamy one of of the proofs that muslims only have the true religion of GOD -the religion of all prophets-because only Muslims practice Polygamy
Permission to practice polygamy is not associated with mere satisfaction of passion. It is rather associated with compassion toward widows and orphans. It was the Quran that limited and put conditions on the practice of polygamy
There is no doubt that the second wife legally married and treated kindly is better off than a mistress without any legal rights or expermanence
The Quran says, "you can marry 2 or 3 and up to 4 women if you can be equally just with each of them" (4:3). Since it is very difficult to be equally just with all wives, in practice, most of the Muslim men do not have more than one wife. Prophet Muhammad (P) himself from age 24 to 50 was married to only one woman, Khadija. In the western society, some men who have one wife have many extramarital affairs. Thus, a survey was published in "U.S.A. Today" (April 4, 1988 Section D) which asked 4,700 mistresses what they would like their status to be. They said that "they preferred being a second wife rather than the 'other woman' because they did not have the legal rights, nor did they have the financial equality of the legally married wives, and it appeared that they were being used by these men."

LOL!
You know! This rule was for 1400 years ago, not now!
Those times marriages was not all about love! There had to be a man supporting women and when men were killed in wars a man had to take more than on wife. Otherwise widows could not survive.
And this rule was for Arabs which living in clans and it was the only solution for them to survive.
This does not happen in new world anymore where girls can survive by theme selves.
I am an Iranian an I have lived 25 years in Iran, but I have not seen any man having more than one wife in my whole life.
I have just heard of it and that happens rarely in very poor and old families in villages.

I honestly believe its impossible to love 2 people the same way, let alone 4! Will this man really be able to perform his duties as head of the house, as husband and father? With the costs of education increasing every term, how many children does he wish to have with each wife?
By the way, is there a need for more than 1 wife?

Take any religious Bookkk..... none says MARRY ONLY ONE!!!
just quran says "MARRY ONLY ONE"
Quran also says "you can marry 4 but only if you can do justice to them" and in the next verse quran says "You cannot actually Justify them"
that means Quran says to marry just 1 woman but it is allowed to marry 4 at a time!!!!!

He is just supposed to treat his wives equally. Of course, in reality that may be difficult to accomplish. But then if you have 4 children, can you treat them equally? It is similar. The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
