My mom cannot get along with my sister in law?

My mother and my sister in law can never get along together. This is in spite my brither and I trying to pacify both of them.

Of late, she is accusing my mother to be a Woman Hitler. This has hurt my mother greatly. She is now not on talking terms with my sister in law.

Why must my sister in law brand my mother as such? Why must she call her names like Woman Hitler?

Well as you know you cant clap your hand with one hand. So you cant just blame your Sister in law. Well in this case i will say sometimes the moms think after the marriage of the son that the wifes have taken my son and now i have no rights in my son. Thats the main problem of the mother in laws. And your mom was also one day of somebodies daughter in law.So she must be knowing how is it.and the best thing is your mom should treat her like her own daughter then she feels being accepted and she will love you mummy as her own mom.

Sounds to me like she has Ego Issues, and the only way to geel better is to make fun of someone. Come on now stick and stone break bones, but names never harm. You Mom, needs to also let it go, they are only names, we were all taught that as children, same goes into adulthood. If they just can get along, then they need to tolerate each other. I know how it feels, I didn't get along with my Mother-in-Law ofr 10 yrs, but whne it came to being on her Death bed, We both finally found forgiveness. If your mother can Forgive her and she can't then she is the one that has to live with that guilt for not forgiving her for what ever has offended her. The Bible tells us not to hold grudges, to Fogive, but not forget....I can't remember the exact scripture, but it is true and works....Kindness hurts sometime worse than the words that were orginally inflicted....good luck

Mothers have to realise: you have a daughter for all your life, you have a son untill he gets a wife.
I never heard that mothers really like their daughter in law. It's almost as if it's a rule. If mothers and daughters in law just realise that, things just might get better.
My advice to you: try not to be caught up in the middle.

Evidently, she has no tact. She can't be very mature if she's going about causing problems like that. You might also want to consider what your mother is doing to upset her - perhaps you're not hearing everything? Insulting eachother is no way to act - your brother needs to make clear to his wife and his mother that they're both to try to get along for his sake. or if they can't do that, then to avoid eachother and stop throwing insults around.

i know someone with the same s**t going on and talking about it to resolve the situation never works cos that bitterness never leaves you so what i think they should do is either 1 moves out or just to mind their own business, that way they dont need to talk and can both get on with their lives, gdLuck, x

I don't know why shes doing it but it is highly disrespectful. I would ask her if she would like it if someone was going around callling her mother names.
