POKI: The verses I did read of the Koran were so corrupt I knew right away I did not believe that crap! The same when I started reading the Book of Mormon. I have read many books on many things, but they prove themselves false to me in comparison to the Bible.

I have read the WHOLE Bible in 2-3 different translations. I am not being a hypocrite about this. I wanted to read for myself instead of just believe what the churches or other people told me.

Ignorance. In the court of law, ignorance is no excuse. Same thing will apply to those who chose to ignore the Bible. They should first read it and then comment on it.

The vast majority of the people who claim to believe the bible is the word of god have never read the entire book from cover to cover, why should a person have to have read the entire thing to disbelieve it?
By the time I was 18 years old I had read the bible from cover to cover over 28 times... well I stopped counting at 28 times.
I have serious problems with about 80% of the old testament and about 60% of the new testament. I don't recognize the god that is described there. Either god used to be a very evil and destructive being, or the people writing about him were evil and destructive and often blamed their god for their bad behavior. Either way, I don't believe the bible is the word of any god at all.
Any person who can look at the god the old testament describes, claim that god "is the same yesterday, today, and forever," then claim to worship that god is lacking in morality.
I cannot worship a god that says, "do as I say, not as I do."

Umm... I have read the Bible. I've read the New Testament in the original Greek, two of the Old Testament books in the original Aramaic, and I've struggled through much of the Hebrew, but I've read reputable translations in English.
Really, I criticize "christians" more than I criticize the Bible. The Bible as it is today is fairly unchanging, there isn't much to criticize when you understand the historial and cultural context. The problem is that certain people just like to take a few quotes here and there that fit their agenda and neglect the context. Man, that pisses me off.

I have read the Bible at least 10 times from cover to cover and everytime I thanked God Almighty for me being a Muslim.
I have never come accross another book in my lifetime that degrades women this much starting from Eve.
I have never come accross a book where the owner of the book (supposed God) is also a barber and will shave your hair, legs and beard (ISAIAH 7:20).
I have never come accross a book where the supposed author of book rides little angles that look like 6 years old little girls with wings (2 SAMUEL 22:11)
I have never come accross a book where the author of book uses one title for himself (God) and then uses the same one for the enemy of his (satan) (2 Cor 4:4)
I have never seen a book that promote incest this much at the name of faith.
I have never seen a book that promotes slavery this much in my life at the name of religion.
You want more? I sure can go on for days. You didn't even finish Quran and yet claim it to be corrupted but you read such things and say others who do not follow it are evil and anti-Christ?

I find many believers have never read their own bible from front to back, then they snap at non believers for the same thing. Then there's those who have never read the Koran and the Hindu holy books. Then there's those who toss witches into the satanist pile because of misinformation.
Basicly, humans are idiots and we'll pick fights just to prove we're right.

Your rant - for that's what it is - proves Dawkins and scientists suitable!! it is a appropriate occasion in each way of why you're a christian and function this style of closed suggestions!! recognition of a supernatural declare has a tendency to sell cooperative social relationships. This verbal replace demonstrates a willingness to settle for, without skepticism, the impact of the speaker in a fashion comparable to a newborn's recognition of the impact of a be sure. with the aid of encouraging one among those habit the place the main severe social relationships ensue it enables the shortcoming of skepticism and deters extra open minded thinking. they are christian, Muslim or the different religions based the place they have been born because of the fact they have been indoctrinated with the aid of their mum and dad as very youthful infants. they'll circulate directly to indoctrinate their very own infants and those will circulate directly to indoctrinate their grandchildren!! Atheists have the mind to be sure contained in direction of the conditioning and get away into the actual international!! Agnostics have the mind to be sure contained in direction of the conditioning yet lack the braveness to throw of the conditioning completely. regrettably Christians, like your self, are nonetheless held firmly prisoner with the aid of the self perpetuating brainwashing!! you understand it is authentic!!

Actually I have read the Bible (thoroughly) as I am from a Southern Baptist family. I (even as a kid) found it to be silly. I mean, come on now. It is full of utterly ridiculous events. IF YOU have indeed read through front to back, then you should know why some of us don't believe in it. Give me a f>>>ing break!

Work of the Devil. Devil wants to prove anything from God, of God as false. The Devil uses all methods possible from doubt to torture & death to prove he is right.
Just thing of the facts : Jews are the most persecuted people in the history of mankind, but they still survive. Why?? Because they are God's People.
Christians ( believers - born again) around the globe( except in western countries) are being tortured, harrassed, killed for their faith in Jesus Christ. But has the devil been able to stop them. NO, They are growing day by day. The believers in Underground Churchs are more stronger in their faith than anyone of us because they price their possession.
In short, Devil's work. He knows that his days are numbered, so he must work harder.

For the same reason people extoll and preach the bible despite the fact that THEY have never read it. It is easier to blindly accept someones word for what's there than to read, consider, and decide for yourself.
