You are very, very smart to think of these questions. The one thing I know for sure is that God was here first. The Bible was written by great scholars (teachers) and very wise men who were inspired by God...and they wrote all the stories and messages. The Bible is over 2,000 yrs old and has been passed down to all of us to read. Some stories are to help you learn what is good, some stories tell us what God's word is, and some stories have many, many meanings...and it will depend on who you ask.
The New Testament (the 2nd part of the Bible) tells us all about Jesus and what He had to say to us. This part is written by men who knew Jesus and told us what He said. Mostly He wanted us to know we are loved and that we have a Father in Heaven...so it isn't real important if the stories really happened or not...because the stories are very old, and very holy...and Jesus and God are very real. I hope this helps you.

Try reading the Bible and doing some historic research.
3 million Jews witnessed God when He gave the 10 commandments to Moses. Josephus is a secular historian who wrote about Jesus. Peter, James and John were just a few mene who were with Jesus when He said "this" and "that." There are over 2Billion people who follow Jesus today. There are testimonies after testimonies of people who follow Christ.

The Bible was written over many centuries. Many authors wrote many books which were compiled together and formed the Bible. The Bible is the inspired word of God. The Word was given to His prophets etc who wrote it according to the instructions received from God Himself. In the New Testament, the disciples and others who were along with Jesus wrote the majority of the books in the New Testament. Take any popular Bible Commentaries and you will find all the relevant answers to your question for further details.

Well, since Moses is generally credited with writing Genesis, I suppose God somehow inspired Moses what to write about the creation of Adam and Eve. Of course, Adam and Eve existed waaaay before Moses' time.
As far as Jesus, there were lots and lots of people around when he spoke. He drew crowds wherever he went.

Who living today was around when George Washington was president; or to witness the French Revolution; or when Christopher Columbus discovered America; or the world of Emperor Constantine's time? That's why we rely on historians. And the Bible is confirmed the same way -- written history.

Moses didn't write Genesis. Genesis is attributed to moses, but is not written by him.
None of the books attributed to moses were written down until the time of King David. I believe the timeframe between Adam and David was about 2000 years . You can only imagine how the stories had changed in 2000 years. You can imagine the influence of other cultural stories on the ones that got written down. Imagine the language difference... just in Hebrew that occured in 2000 years.
Most of the bible is not written in first hand account of the things that occured.
Think about just the United States. In 200 years our culture and language has changed so dramatically, we might find it dificult to communicate with those first pilgrims. Our stories and urban legends have changed dramatically as well. If things can change so much in 200 years can you imagine how much things changed in ten times the amount of time?
The bible story leads us to believe that god put humankind on the planet, refined, literate, and civilized, with specific directions for making god happy. I'm sorry, but it took hundreds of thousands of years just to invent language. And language is one of the most fluid aspects of human civilization... it changes CONSTANTLY.
Nobody knows the who, what, where, when and whys of early mankind. The bible is just that ancient culture's stories that were told to give some explanation.

God was there, and His word is eyewitness testimony.
Yes, God inspired Moses to write Genesis.
There were thousands of people (mostly Jews) that saw and heard Jesus (and a few Romans and gentiles as well).
There were over 500 eyewitnesses that saw Him alive after His death and resurrection, according to Paul.

God. But, you are probably asking because of WHOcould have wrote it. Well, you know how family stories are told from generation to generation? The OT would be like that, but, thw NT you have the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John each wrote their own, and helped in the rest.
