Well, as another secular sort, I guess it's the problem of the certainty of faith overcoming the humility of the heart.

I don't really care either way that they are here or not. Even if this was a christianity only board, it is public, therefore open to everybody. I think many ppl are afraid of opinons that differ from there own.
For me personally, the only time the "atheists" really get to me is when they can't back up there claims and or beliefs. But I hate when ANYBODY does that. I also think that some of them are only here to cause trouble, and doubt that they even are atheists or know what they are really about. I have heard far too many ppl claim to be atheist, yet say they do believe in God, just not the christain God. Atheism means denial of God, Gods, and Goddesses.
I am personally open to ppl "challenging" my faith. I really don't have all the answers, and don't claim to. But too many ppl on here, use there own "research" as proof. And i'm sorry, but not to call any of them stupid, but what makes you (and I use you in the general sence, i don't mean you personaly) think you are so smart to know everything? I mean ppl have dedicated there whole lives to the bible, and religion, and still don't have all the answers. There is no eqaution, like 2+2 doesn't equal God. It also doesn't prove that he doesn't exist.
I think there is too much tension on both sides. The "christians" are trying to condem every non believer to hell, adn the "atheists" are calling all of us that believe, tools or morons for beliving. There is blame on BOTH sides.
And on a slightly related side note. The bible is the best selling book of all time. It has been translated, re translated, and re re re translated. Put everything else aside for a moment, and just consider this, isn't it amazing that there aren't more problems with it? I mean its a pretty big book, and the most actual problems or inconsistencies i've ever seen anybody point out is maybe 15. I mean the common novel often has more then that.
And here's one more thing that i'd like you to consider. If you were constantly being misquoted, and everything you said was being misinterperated, wouldn't you get a bit upset? Many of the "facts" that the atheist use to prove there points, are simply the bible being misquoted. And or ppl saying the bible is all wrong, on the simple fact that say it doesn't include dinosaurs. It never once says they didn't exist. And actualy there is no, or was no hebrew, or greek term for dinosaur. I don't know about aramayac though, but i'm going to take an educated guess and say they didn't either.
Anway, I don't know if I answered your question. But to put it simply, I think the blame can go to both sides. I will stand up and say I have at least once been out of line. CAn you do the same?

The bigger question is why an athiest would want to talk about religion. It's like a guy in Arctic always wanting to tell people in Florida just how the weather is.In other words if you are an athiest in a religion and spirituality section then you can only be there for 2 reasons. You like to start trouble,or you have doubts about your beliefs.

The same reason atheists complain about Christian's and just curious since i am assuming you are atheist (you dont believe in god) how can you be spiritual. people who are spiritual believe in some sort of god or religion and a religion is when you worship something and have faith and live the way that religion teaches and the last time i checked atheists dont believe in anything close to a god they believe in evolution and so on

i havent really looked through the section yet but i think that if christians ARE moaning about atiests then they aren't really sure about where they are spiritually. i'm a christian and i look for places where i know there will be people with different beliefs coz i like to question myself and most of the time, i come away believing the same thing anyway. so they need to live and let live.

I cannot answer for all Christians; however, I believe that Jesus taught His followers to love their neighbors as well as their enemies. If you are my neighbor, I should respect and love you regardless of your belief or lack of belief.
You have every right to express your thoughts and beliefs here or anywhere else in this free country. Peace be with you.

I love you being here! It shows you are curious and WANT to be proven wrong but knowing God comes from the heart not from head knowledge. If you ever decide to be led by the heart we can really talk! That is not to say there isnt proof of God because there is but you have scales upon your eyes and cannot see it. I ask that God remove the scales from your eyes in Jesus name amen. Amen

I am exactly your opinion. I mean just because I'm an atheist doesn't mean I don't believe in anything and it is a free country and if yahoo had anything against us being here they'd have thrown us out long ago.

You bring up a very interesting point. I'd say let them have their petty whining fests. It's not like they can stop you from posting. Just ignore them. They're not worth your time. Obviously, some people just don't get it. Oh well, that's life.
