oh, ya... i don't think that's even questioned... Does Syria even deny it? I think it's pretty much like us supporting Israel no matter what... we might say we wouldn't, but we would...

It was just what, 6 months ago that Syria's military left Lebanon? They had been occupying Lebanon for several years. Hezbollah only has a foot hold in Lebanon because of Syria. They obtained seats of governement in Lebanon because of Syria. They were allowed free reign of southern Lebanon because of Syria. Syria supported them because they would attack Israel, and Syria could stand back and say "Its Hezbollah, not us" and be totally hands free of the attacks.

No question what-so-ever that Syria supports Hezbollah. Iran as well.

It is no secret that Syria considers Lebanon to be a satellite state.

Hezbollah is part of the political and cultural landscape there.

Syria wants Israel to cease to exist so that it may take over the assets of the Jews.

Naked greed and ambition, not religious belief is behind all this.

IT IS CLEAR that Syria is supporting Hezbollah.
THE FIRST statement of support to Hezbollah when they kidnapped the 2 Israeli soldiers last week came from Syria's GOVERNMENT- read again:

Syria and Iran. Iran wants to stir up trouble and kill people while Syria wants to get their troops back into Lebanon and run it as a colony.

I think the fact that Hezbollah has offices in Damascus might be a give-away. What do you think?
