I hope that this is the case. What do you think?

I firmly believe in a spiritual world that exists alongside and in a certain amount of harmony with our own. Within this world will be all the people you have loved and lost and when your life is over you will be at one with them.

Any scepticism I had about this was dispelled by a family tragedy six years ago. The connections I and other members of my family have had with those we lost since this have been too many to be considered coincidence and too profound to be ignored. However, we have not sought spiritualist's help or held seances, this has happened in our everyday lives and has helped us to deal with the grief we have felt. The knowledge that we will be together once more without the problems of human emotions such as jealousy or pride, but with the true feelings of joy and love, will keep me comforted until the day it's my turn to step over the divide.

I don't think the important issue is what other believe. Belief is based on personal thought and faith. If you truly feel that is what will happen when you die then that is what will happen. Heaven or for that matter Hell is personally defined. Faith, Religion and Belief was not given to human beings but created by them and so is defined and determined by them. In the same way that science has been created by Human Beings. What this implies is that Science is not a universal truth it is discovered by and defined by Human Beings and so is susceptible to the same 'lies' 'delusions' and inaccuracies as faith.

So if you believe in something and it comforts, reassures you or gets you through times of difficulty, stay with it!

I unfortunately do not believe that there are lost family and friends waiting on the other side. They only live on through the people's memory of them, so it is important that one leaves a legacy. The end comes for us all but that does not mean there is no point. If you are truly wishing they were still alive, make them come to life by chasing the dreams that they had.

If you look up in Ecclesiastes it gives a partial answer! But the things we see in the movies is way off . First all of your family would have to make it to heaven. The false thing about our family members watching over us or helping us through rough times is a nice sentiment but according to the bible false. When in heaven we won't even remember our family while they are here on earth. Probably to avoid worry and the fact that something bad might happen to them we'd worry! God relieves us from that..! I have yet to find a answer totally to your question. I think so but we wont have the same sensations of male and female nor the position they held in our lives other than we know who they are!

No. We take another rebirth, maybe in a more fortunate realm and maybe not. This has gone on since bginningless time and will continue until we achieve enlightenment. Wheh we are reborn we have no direct memory of previous lives although sometimes there are "imprints" which can be detected by clairvoyants or even by ourselves. Every living being on the planet and on every planet has been our mother in the past...amazing eh?!"

don't be daft. That's typical human denial symptom. You think that as the planets dominant species we can't just simply die? there has to be a reason a rationale? . Nope fact you're 70% water and the rest cells and bone. When your heart stops your brain dissolves and you just simply cease to be like turning off a car engine sorry

I do believe so.
I had an experience many years ago, when I was in junior high that gave me a brief glimpse of that.
I had moved across the state and my best friend in my old town was coming to visit me over summer break. She had gotten into Satanism while I had been gone and hadn't told me about it.
We were watching a movie and I kinda fell asleep, but not all the way. She thought I was totally out and started drawing the pentagram on my back with her fingernail and praying to Satan to take my soul.
I had believed in God since I was a little girl, but this was the first time I ever had to take a stand for what I believe. I was getting totally freaked out, but didn't want her to know I was aware of what she was doing for fear of something worse happening. I started to pray HARD to God and told Him that I belong to Him and no other. At that moment, I had a "vision", for lack of a better word, that I was in the middle of an infinite plane of space. My physical body did not exist, only my soul and the essence of who I am. I looked to the right and I saw Jesus and all my friends and family that had passed away. Some of these family members I had never met (they were like my great, great, great grandparents and such) but I KNEW who they were instinctively.
I looked left and I saw Satan and his minions all screaming at me to join them and how much power I could have with them. I looked back at my family and they were calm and told me they loved me with everything they had and wanted me to be with them but I had to make my own decision.
I looked left at the crowd of evil going crazy and screaming about how much they wanted me and looked again at my family and Jesus and all I could see was calm love, an overwhelming sense of peace. I ran to my family and Jesus as fast as I could and all of a sudden, I was back in the room with the TV again. It was a very powerful experience for me and solidified my belief in God, Jesus and an afterlife.
Since then, I have had visits from my Grandma and best friend after their passings to tell me certain things of comfort.
I know what's waiting for me there and I am go happy to be ending up there!

God I hope so. That would suck not to. I mean if that's not the case I would rather there be nothing once we die. Family is everything

Of course. I believe we will go to heaven:

We will ALL go to heaven. We can meet there.

Heaven is full of HAPPINESS. God has designed it so that whatever makes us happy will be there. If your family and friends make you happy they will be there.

The point of heaven is to be worshipping God TOGETHER.

I hope this helps. Ignore people who say otherwise, that we just die. The truth is that we will have eternal life.

I wish it was true in every case. But sadly you will only meet up with the loved ones if you are both going to heaven. heaven is only possible with and through the help of Jesus.

I am sorry if you recently lost a loved one.
