Yes satanism does exist, though in different forms. I know of two serious forms. The majority of serious satanists are older folks who have thought long and hard about their faith. They did not take their faith on a whim and most have not considered it because it's 'cool'.

The first form of satanism I know of is is Levayan Satanism. It's a form of humanism more than anything else. There's another form - I believe it's lucifarianism - that follows in a similar vein. Levayan satanists don't believe in 'Satan'. They see 'Satan' as a force of nature that's not been described yet by science and they tap this force to get their stuff done. One doesn't need to be a deist to be Levayan Satanist. One of my close friends is one of these. I've had many discussions with him about his faith.

I've also had friends who are Lucifarian. They're on the brasher side who accept the dark with the light. They see Lucifer as a different god from Satan. I wish I could say more than this, but I'm sadly lacking information about these folks.

Then there's the idiots out there who like to freak people out by drinking blood and killing animals. Most are teens who do it for the freak factor. Others do it because they completely misunderstand what satanism is. Then there's those who think satanism is anything that isn't of their faith. According to them, satanism is anything that doesn't directly accept Jesus. The bloody drinker types want to scare folks and they think running around screaming 'devil worship!' is gonna make them popular - either in a good or bad way. The majority of satanists are ***NOT*** like this, though they are quite opinionated. Most aren't afraid of telling people what they think. The Levayans I know would be more than happy to string child molesters by their nuts and the majority I've met adore animals. The levayan friend mentioned above is a regular volunteer at the local pet shelters.

The one theme I've found with all satanists I've spoken to is their intense dislike of Christianity. All of them have said they hate how Christians have twisted god and made him into a perverted freak. Not to mention the hypocritical attitudes of many 'loving' servants of god. It's the faith as a whole they dislike, not many of the individual people. They use the term 'satanist' to peeve Christians off. Many don't worship a God. Levayan satanism is a way of thinking more than anything. Levay was a bit of a nut, but he does bring up some good points in his books. One of them is hypocrisy. Why say one thing then do something different the next? Why deny yourself only to become something that you hate and can't continue being? He stresses letting yourself be true to yourself. He goes a bit overboard in my opinion, but his points ring true.

I am assuming you mean satan worship, and yes it does exist. I really don't have much experience with it personaly, the whole idea freaks me out. I do know though that there is a church (I guess there considered churches) that practices satan worship in my area.

Though I don't know if this is what you are looking for, the link below is what wikipedia has to say.

Let me warn you though. And no I am not saying this as an uptight christian, but before you get into this (or any religion for that matter) look into it. With satanism in general, it really isn't something you should get into without having ALL the facts.

Absolutely. I teach school and we had a kid who would vow she was into WICCA. She was on her way to working herself up to full witch. She kept a journal of her venture.

Also, it has existed since before time. Lucifer was the music angel in Heaven when he got the big head and decided to overthrow God. God got enough and threw everyone out that wanted to follow him. This is how Satan got reign like he has. He wants others to be cast out, or not make it to Heaven, like he never will. Therefore, he has followers. However, he has those that are true followers in the sense of worshiping him instead of God.

So, yes Satanism exists.

Yes, Satanism is a real religion.

I'm sure you can get ahold of Satanists if you look around on the web.

Can't give you any personal experiences. I don't hang around Satanists.

The church of satan is real. It was started in San Franciso by a man named Antonn Lavey (incorrect spelling probably). They also claim to have famous followers which i can not remember at this time.

Do Devil Worshippers Really Exist

If you read the Satnic Bible it isn't evil. It is not violent like the bible. It isn't about worshiping Satan as much as hating the idea of God.

Yes, it does exist. It isn't necessarily the same as devil worship, however, so make sure you do your research and ask the right people the right questions.
