video games,and portable cd players are a couple.

An iPod or mp3 player is always a good idea. Portable DVD player and a few movies. A book. Make 'em go to sleep.

there own mp3 players filled with songs THEY like... also a dvd player in the car... you can buy portable ones for each of them... or get one for the car for them to share

coloring books are good too
for teens real books but beware alot of people read and get carsick from it.....

game boys.. or other hand held games

create an A-Z game. They have to in order find places/words on signs that begin with each letter of the alphabet. ishuffe*ipod.

Go to "smalldog.com" for refurbished items with warranty. get a mad lib book. get stress balls/toys. play word games. get a book of riddles and brainteasers and say them out loud for the whole family to participate it. COMPILE a CD of music and play 2 seconds of each song and have the family guess what the song is.
