What makes a great cook is not gender, but desire, love of good food, and a knack for creating new combinations of tastes and design of food. Good cooks are those who can follow recipes and bring together nice meals. Great cooks are those who go beyone recipes to bring fresh ideas into the world of cooking. Alice Waters, a woman who more or less "invented" California Cuisine, for example, is so influential that she was asked to open a restaurant at the Louvre in Paris. Escoffier, who for a long time was the guru of French cuisine, was male. All over the world both men and women inspire and create marvellous food.

Look here & listen carefully.Althought there are more male chefs than women but it doesn't that men are much better neither are women. We all are humans so is there any needs to be so sure that the males or the females are better.
The best person is the one which is given the role to be the best, regartless male or female.Lets put an example, this person(m/f)was so address the best chef of the world by Queen of England.Who dares to stand up to speak out that it's not so.This so person just was that lucky to have a bright star shining above him/her.Although there may have a lot of selections of chefs to cook for that specal day. What makes you think the judges were fair or the chefs was pre pick before hand.Even if that day of competition if a female chef will to surpass all,do you think she will be the leading chefs for the evening? So don't ask this question again it can harm relationship between male & female. What we can do is respect the kind of world it is today. For male & female are as equal as the day they were born in this world.Hope you got the point,Thanks.

I don't think gender matters when it comes to cooking. I've eaten good food cooked by men and women. I think the important thing is whether they like to cook.

Well, it depends on the person who cooks.

Some women cooks very good and I know alot of them. But male cooks mostly on luxury lines, hotels, grill's etc. but it doesn't mean that male cooks better, it depend upon the person.

Women's mostly do good on cakes, cookies, pastries while male cook does great on steaks, lobster and other meat products I guess.

I also knew that the head chef on white house is Female.

There's nothing to argue about it.

I think casual homemaker type cooks, women definitely rule. If you want to go like Iron Chef, the men don't Screw around.

I have never liked working for chefs I imagine that the norm is the average Chef is difficult to work with...like in Friends.
