I read an article that said given enough growth of our welfare state with unskilled workers and thier families we could end up with paying 95% of our pay in taxes in 20-40 years. (If our national budget is 3 trillion and 20 million become 200 million through immigration and births and costs 450 billion a year now, that's 5.5 trillion then and most of it not matched by what they put in), at what point would we have to consider repealing child labor laws so us taxpayers could support our families?

It might be stupid, but if the Senate wins, we go bust, how do we make ends meet??

I started working, delivering papers, at age 8. Kids should be able to work part time starting at a younger age. Anytime someone talks about kids working, so many people automatically think, "sweat shop". Kids are capable of working part time much earlier than current labor laws, and it would be good for them. Working from an early age builds character and a good work ethic. Being given everything builds spoiled, lazy and unappreciative people.
Today some 5 millions+ kids in the US have cell phones, why not a part time job too?

The Senate are not in my book anymore for anything. I have already let my Senator know. Although I am not happy how the Republicans are handling the environment.

maybe if children started mowing lawns, or babysitting like the good ol days the load would be a little lighter on the parents. but then again we would have to stop spoiling teh sh*t of the little rascals too-gameboys, cell phones, etc... oh well only time will tell.

Yea put your toddlers to work in the coal mine. Seriously, a parent is supposed to take care of their kids not the other way around.
