Retinal detachment operations were done on eye 2 yrs ago but still xperiencing pressure on eye. Is it normal?

Surgical correction of retinal detachment gets the retina to near normal function. But the causes of detachment viz diabetes , high B.P, are not eliminated. Some after effects therefore remain.
