First, people make bad choices
Second, even well known people in the bible had multiple wives
Third, people lived much shorter lives then. Assuming you married young and survived child birth a woman could be expected to live married for maybe 30 years. Now with life expectancy much longer marriage may last 80 years or more. Thats a long time to spend with one person!
Fourth, you can make any relationship work with anyone if both of you try your best. who is in the relationship doesnt matter, its what kind of effort is put forth between them.
Lastly, people get divorced because life is complicated and marriage isnt always possible or desirable. People change, jobs change, etc. Its easy to say "for better or for worse" until you're in the situation yourself.

Even marriages that end in divorce are "made in heaven," as you say. Every experience in this life is a chance to learn. Divorce is just another way for people to learn more about themselves and others. It might not be pleasant, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have a purpose.

Why do any of Gods established norms get the wrench thrown into the program? Because we allow it. Why is the family breaking down, why is there all sorts of fatherless and motherless children, abortion, childless couples, abuse, neglect, alcoholism and drug abuse, corruption, greed, neglect, rebellion in young people, a world wide party atmosphere, shallow materialism, any and all types of addiction from drugs to **** to gambling to shopping to food to sex to plastic surgery. Why is it all so screwed up? Failure..failure to recognize and acknowledge that The One True God created this earth and He would know best how to heal it (heal you) if everyone would pay attention. If the entire planet followed the 10 commandments along with the two that Jesus gave..we would have no problems...but nobuddy does..and nobuddy is ever going to..not as a whole...maybe in part but that won't heal our world. Every societal ill is caused by breaking Gods laws...why don't people get that? Love in Christ, ~J~ <><

NO!!! Most marriages are made in the twisted minds of the two people who think everything will work out after we get married. The vows are before GOD but that doesn't mean he made the match up.

The whole concept of marriage was created by God. But...if you enter in a marriage based on worldly values...then it is not "made in Heaven" as you mentioned, but you are still required to honor your vows in God's eyes. I divorced my ex husband in 1994, not because we couldn't get along, but because he molested my oldest daughter. He has since proved himself to be a pedophile.

No. People choose who they will marry. Many times, it is based on infatuation or physical traits and those things do go away. If a relationship is started with good communication and goals in common, it has more of a chance of success. Heaven has nothing to do with it.

certainly not all of them - many are made by our eyes.
but if you believe in a bigger life - before and after this earthly journey - then maybe a true 'match made in heaven' was already destined in the Books because of previous circumstances that earned certain souls rewards.

not all marriages. we do make stupid choices sometimes. However God does try to help us recover from our mistakes. He can make the wrong be right. We have to let Him work in it.
