Please not that my questian is not to hurt some one or to test somebody's right to live and dress up on the earth. since it is bothered me and other cultured friends I am asking the openion of females.
in my country youths i.e. boys will be waiting at the church gates to look at the girls because christian girls dressup in such a nasty way where as when a hindu or muslim or any other girls dress up in such a way that never make some one to look at them when they come from temple or market place in my country
so girls do you like the boys to line up in the chuch gates to see in your romantic outfits and the parts of your body you expose to them, or do you want them in the church to know God. which one do you prefer............
if you are hurt of my questian I am sorry but I am serious
please give me a reasonable and God fearing answer

I would never wear something revealing or extraneous to church. But oh, I could tell you stories. I have seen other girls underwear because their skirts were so short, I have seen totally bare arms at church, and I have seen more thighs than Colonel Sanders at my church alone. And my church is average, so I know its just as bad at other churches.
Once when I was 16 I took a Christian article to my youth group about how skanky some church girls were dressing nowadays (some different word usage though LOL) annd they basically implied that I must be a prude and need to get a life.
It angers me and at times amuses me, they have no idea how ridiculous they look.

Well, first off, the body, whether it be a man's or a woman's, is a temple and is not meant to be showed to everyone. Modesty is one of the teachings of the church... It is not a matter of being ashamed of your body but is if of treating it well and showing it only to those who are supposed to see it -- your spouse and yourself... and occasionally your doctor =).
Now, for the glamorous attires, it does not bother me as much anymore but I think that it is important that one dresses properly when attending services especially when the normal clothing you wear is very eye catching and potentially disruptive to other people who are trying their best to devote their time and attention to God. The motive of the person also counts... there are of course those who are not aware that their clothing is "too much" but then, there are those who intentionally wear such clothing to be noticed....

Someone found a soapbox.
It doesn't bother me when I see it and the embarrassment when I'm wearing glamorous clothing is due, honestly, to a bad body image of myself. It's spelt "feminine", by the way. Did you mean sexy rather than glamorous?
Though I do agree that sometimes the clothes worn to church can be quite ridiculous, you should be glad that they're in church to begin with. It's their own business and God's how they choose to live their lives.

When I go to church, or anywhere in public, for that matter, I think women should be more modest and respectful of themselves. Early on, we are fooled into believing that sexy equals beauty and that is not true. Why do you think there is so much sexual immorality and child sexual abuse now more than ever....one reason is some people dress their innocent girls like seductresses. I hate it! Now, when I am alone with my husband it is different. But in public, especially at church, yeah, we are there to worship not show our bodies off. The Bible speaks against women dressing certain ways in church.

Do you REALLY think that if there was a god that he/she/it/?? would give a flying fart whether Ethel Smith from Idaho wore a pink garter to church ?
The same fictional god doesn't pay attention to the 10.000s (35.000+ children) a DAY who starve to death, mostly in the nude by the way.
Thinks about that when you dress up/down for church next Sunday.

We live in a country where we have the freedom of expression as well as the freedom of religion.
We are free to choose which religion to follow or not follow. We also have the freedom to choose how we dress .If this conflicts with our personal beliefs, then it's a personal choice.
Some American religions allow any type of dress, some have more strict rules of conduct.
But as Americans first, we are free to choose what is right for us as individuals as well as our placement in our community.

Expressing a general opinion ( I hope!), MOST women don't get dressed to go to a religious place only to attract attention, they go to pray. And most often they may just go there directly from work to get some peace and harmony from a world of men. and most often they're probably just comfortable wearing what they are. The fact that you are judging them based on what they are wearing shows where YOUR mind is. If you're so devotional, stick to being devotional, don't judge.

I have never, and have never seen any one walk into church wearing flashy or tight clothes, it simply is not the place. Anyone that would be going there would know that.

I do not expose myself in that way. I do dress attractively, but not sluttishly. I see some girls dress very revealingly and I don't like it. It is O.K. to be attractive, but don't be whorish.
