He says it is not diabetes. I have been unofficially diagnosed with M.S. I do NOT think it is allergies...is it the M.S. symptom? M.S. sufferers....is the clouding over common?

I suffer from ocular allergies. There are days when the only thing that bothers me are my eyes. Other days I could be sneezing and have watery, itchy eyes, that cloud over. My eye doc prescribed me allergies that really help with the clouding of allergy goop.

If you have been "unofficially" diagnosed? Who diagnosed you? And find a doctor who specializes in M.S. for a final diagnoses. Visit the eye doctor about the cloudy vision. Allergies can create a slime over the eyeball. At least that is what it feels like to me.

Vision problems usually associated with M.S. are blurred vision, graying of colors and blindness in one eye, double vision or uncontrollable eye movement. See an opthamalogist. There is a differnence between and optometrist and opthamalogist. An opthamologist is trained eye disease and eye disease. Both are able to prescribe glasse and contacts. Check out the sites below.

How red are they? If the whites of his eyes are very red, it could be pink eye or conjunctivitis. That would require some prescription drops. Be careful, it is VERY contagious. Usually will start in one eye and due to rubbing and touching the eyes it will get passed to the other eye. And to other people. Has he been diagnosed with allergies before? You could try some OTC meds like Benedryl or Claritin. But I'd suggest checking with the dr. to make sure they won't interact with the prescription meds.

If it was a regular Physician, I would go see an Optometrist about the problem. Regardless of whether it is a symptom of M.S. or allergies, or a different problem, an optometrist can help you find a solution.

Cataracts are known for clouding one's vision, but if you're young and healthy, it's probably just extra mucous. Try applying artificial tears or saline solutions frequently throughout the day, and keep at it to wash away all the debris and the result of them being in your eyes.
