Cutie, as of 2000, when I transferred out of recruiting, the US Army was offering the most in bonuses and college money. They were offering $20,000 cash bonus and/or $50,000 for college. That was 6 years ago, and I believe that this money has done nothing but increase.

The US Army has always offered the most for enlisting, from money, to training, to education, to guarantees. I enlisted 20 years ago, and would go right back and do it again.

I HIGHLY recommend that you contact a recruiter from EACH branch. Get all the information that you can, READ it, and talk with your family and all the veterans you can find. Once you have done all that, do a "gut check" and determine which branch will be best FOR YOU! Then choose that branch.

Good luck

I don't know, but probably about the same. I was in the Army, and the GI Bill sucked!!

When making up your mind, take in account that in order to go to college you have to be alive. The Army and Marines have the highest death toll, with the Army over 2 times the Marine deaths, though the Marines have far fewer in Iraq than the Army. The Navy has had some losses (50) as well as the Air Force (26) which aren't even significant to the other 2 branches!

As a girl looking for college opportunities, I strongly recommend the US Air Force. It's also more picky than other branch, so the average people you run into would be aiming for college. The basic training is the shortest and treats women pretty well. You get GI bills, but on top of it, you also get tuition and textbook assistance if you take classes while you are in the service. So, you can have few college classes under your belt before you separate from the service. (The best would be take light load of general education classes from a JC while in service, then take the GI bill and transfer to the 4-yr college).

USAF worked for me and I hope it'll work for you, too!

First check are you fit to enter the Defense. Check the IQ level. If it is 85%+ you may try Flying Branch & Submarin (Navy) services. For the both you require a lot of concentration while you work and If you want to be a gogo, Accounts/Audit branch is the best. For the first one you should have Math-Sciences back ground for the second yould be a CPA/CA. Best of luck! God Bless you!

if you want to go to college i suggest any ROTC program. i'm not sure what will give you the most, it really depends on what you are interested in. for the most part if you want engineering or a similar carrier go for the navy, the air force is mainly flight related like air traffic controll. other than that i don't know too many of the career options. talk to a recruiter at a local college that has ROTC programs and see which one fits you the best.

I've been in the Navy for 9 years and the Navy offers 100% free college tuition assistance. Not to mention the Navy College Fund and the Montgomery GI Bill. If you stay in for 20 years you could get a dozen masters degrees.

But don't join my Navy just to milk it for college. If you join you better give us something back.

Air Force is probably the best but I would check with recruiters from each branch.

The Air Force will probably give you the most for collage. I was in the Army though. I liked it.

Depends on your interests, however I wouldn't just join the military because I thought what can I get out of this educationally, as you maybe in for a shock, especially if you end up breathing in sand and having hostile projectiles whizzing about overhead.

You should be thinking about what you can offer the military!

Call a recruiter from each branch and make an appointment. They should be able to answer all of your question's concerning college.
