i just got engaged(to get married) to this girl one week back (arranged marriage by parents and family, if u know what that means), have been speaking to her two three times everyday, have gone out on a date on four occasions, but i still do not know if i am in love with her(i think i really like her) or if she is, or if she ever will be, or if i will ever fall in love with her, when does one know that it is love?? v confused thinking of breaking the engagement.

Well... one week is a terribly short time to know if you are in love. Unless, of course, it is love at first sight, and an arranged marriage is definitely not encouraging for that!
Give yourself time. Talk to each other, ask her if she likes you too, find common interests... find things you enjoy together, honestly. Open up your heart, both ways, and see what happens.
And you know you are in love when you can think of nothing else but that person, your happiness depends on whether they pay attention to you - if she smiles to you, you are happy, if she turns away, the sun goes dark... etc., etc.

If you are definitely going to be in an arranged marriage and there is no way around it...I think that you need to give yourself more than one week to know if you love her or are in love with her. Being forced into that kind of situation is stressful and you just can't be sure so fast. It's very, very encouraging that you think you might be in love with her, and it's great that you really like her. My advice would be, if possible, to make the engagement as long as possible. With time, if you continue to go out on dates with her, you'll both reach a point where you'll know in your hearts whether or not the marriage will work. Good luck!

dost... before you take any decision.. i would like you to rethink about some issues....
1. do you feel her absence when she is not around..???
2. do you feel the urgency to talk to her sometimes... about love???
3. do you feel lonely and lost when she is not around???
4. do you forget about eating and sleeping, when you think about her.???
5. does she understand you??
6. do you know her..??? understand her????
7. is she miscible in yoru family...???
most important....
8. DOES she brings a smile in your heart , whenever you see her.????
if all the answers to above questions are yes.... then, u love her....
if any of them is no, then love is under process.... and the more number of NO means that you should break the engagement....
but lemme tell you something.......
breaking engagement in INDIA is still a wrong custom which goes against the girl's favor... so think a lot before taking any step.... it can put a bad spot in her life.... and future......
talk to her about this..........

It feels like as though every thing around u is meaningful. U will feel as though u r in a dream land. When u do not c the person whom u love u feel like toking 2 him. Totally your mind will be filled of him/her. But when u c him u feel like as though there is a rain with thunder within your heart. When he comes closer and closer 2 u u feel like singing ya fav song. U will onli b reminded of him in wateva thing u do.

love is not a feeling. feeling good or feeling romantic are temporary. feelings will come and go. feel like hungry. feel like sleeping. love is most used and abused word in the world. much emphasis on sex really making every one to feel the pressure. every man or women will under go emotional high stage and low stage on cyclic basis in their life. bot stages will repeat once in a 3 or 6 months. if both the partners were in emotional high stage they fell that they are in love. it will be the opposite when they are in emotional low stage. you must have the will to love each other.

love is like a rose it blossoms and smells sweet until touched wrongly then it dies take your time young man and see if she is the one today the divorce rate is double what it was 5 years ago, if you marry for love not for some arrangement.

it's a hard question but how i think of it is take your BIGGEST fear and think of it in all of it's horridness.... and ask yourself would you face it for that person?
like mine is needles - scared to death of them, i see one and i feak out - so i ak myself "would i face a ballroom size room full of them if they were in trouble on the other side?"
another way is to ask yourself what you'd give up for them.... if it's your own life - it's deffinatelt love!
