Why people fight with each other in the names of country, religion etc? It's really sad to see several bomb blasts, border wars and even internal clash (with-in a country) among different religion/caste. Why dont we have a peaceful world?

yeah ur right, 98% of the world is like u n me, especially in this generation. Everybody wants to be a citizen of the world and not just of their country...
But the remaining 2% people r those who like everything for themselves, everytime. They r the ones who bomb places so that they can kill freethinking citizens of the world....

Because fighting within countries about religion has been going on since the start of time, and I can not see it ever changing, and even if it did I am sure the power`s that control different part`s of the world would be quick enough to suggest something else people could fight over

It makes me sad too but it wiill never go away. As long as there are bigotted and ignorant people that disagree with each other there will be murders and wars between them. Everyone has a selfish desire to have things their way and some will go to any lengths to make it that way, the most a single person can do short of becoming the preident or prme minister etc. of their country is to conduct your own life in a morally upstanding way. And if you have children raise them to do the same. But no one is perfect.

Humans are separated by countries, religion, caste and etc is only for one main reason. So as to allow ourselves to understand each other better. Wars broke out is for one simple reason. Coz these people are stupid enough to not try to understand each other. These people only wants others to understand them but they never ever try, not even once to understand other people. If they do understand, how come these people can't even understand a simple term such as pain that they might incur to the other people... Sad but true...

There have been times in hisory when wars were fought in the name of religion. Religious groups fought for the right to be the religion of the rulers. Mostly though wars are fought between groups for power, wealth and land. Both sides were convinced they were doing God's work.
It the state mixed religion and one group were to win an election they would start to deny freedom of religion to other groups because they are right and others must be wrong. Which religious group would you like to be in power.

Because the leaders of these little conflicts have forgotten everything their mothers ever taught about sharing, being polite and respecting others. So they get used to thinking that they are the only ones who can be right and that anyone who disagrees with them must be evil and dealt with harshly.

Because we can't agree on whose more miserable us or them. We have to fight and conflict until we answer the question. If we feel bad for what we did, then we were wrong. If they feel bad, then we were right. If neither feels bad, we have to wait and fight it out again. We have a different set of ethical values. That is the answer.
