At 42 years old I have probably done every street drug in the states. At 19 I became a I.V. drug user. I have had small periods sobriety, small. I have children who are grown, I have not grown. They say rehab is for quitters, I wish it would have helped me quit.
I tried college, took psych classes, sociology classes. I understood why society treated addicts the way they did. I was pumped ready to rally round the flag so to speak, i had found purpose. Then I was given 5 yrs to live. looks like I am gonna be doing drugs the rest of my life.
DONT START WITH DRUGS IT WON'T END WITH DRUGS.

All of them that I could find from the 60s through the 80s, including some lesser known exotics, but it was alcohol that brought me to my knees.
I don't think I would have had such a tough time quitting drinking if I hadn't gone to AA where I learned I was powerless, it was genetic, that I had a disease, and other excuses to continue, and had just taken responsibility for my actions like I had with everything else.
5 years sober without AA.

alcohol, ciggarettes, ectasy, marijuana - - that would be about it! I went through a stage of taking prescription painkillers, but that was only a short spell. I still drink and smoke, but only tried ectasy once - i really dont know what the big deal is with that one, and used to marijuana a bit when i was a teenager

well if you REALLY need to know......
weed- 5 or 6 times lost count
cigarettes- 5 or 6 times lost count again
alcohol- been drunk around 3 times...but never enough to puke just to get a buzz
AND I AM NOT PROUD OF A SINGLE THING! I AM NOT PROUD OF A SINGLE HIT OF WEED I TOOK OR ONE BREATH OF CIGARETTE SMOKE OR ONE SIP OF BOOZE! THEYRE ALL EVIL!!!!!!!!!!!
p.s. dont do weed cuz its seriously addictive. the cravings I am havin right now are enough to sink a god damn ship.

well i was a complete coke head and smoked weed,cigerrettes and drank up until last year but now i'm clean and plan on being that way
