women are able to feel comfortable with being the first to make a move do you think society has come that far or are we still holding expectations that a specific gender has to play that role?

As you probably see in the responses, I think right now we are caught in the middle of a quagmeyer. Older generation wants to see the male make the first move, but like the 60's the 90's girls have gone a little too far, sometimes, by being too forward. It is always better to stay somewhere in the middle. Absolutely nothing wrong with making the first move nomatter your sex, but be respectful if you don't get the response you want.

See I think that all depends on who you ask. The older generation might say that the men should make the 1st move because it cheapens the girl if she does it. Then some people might say that girls should make the first move because guys are shy or they like aggresive girls. Pretty much it all depends on who you ask.
I like it when girls make the 1st move out of respect I won't till I get an ok from her.

i think if both genders could make first moves, seconds moves etc we would all be a lot more comfortable with each other.

Unfortunately there is a majority that still follow the 'traditional' route.

I hope our society aint like dat... cause it should be a shared thing, if you feel a way, you should say it. dayam, especially, women cause you will hardly ever see a guy be like "Nooo way trick" he'll make up some excuse and still chill wit u, and y'all can laugh about it lata
