My father never knew his real mom. All we have is her maiden name and birthdate. Any tips on how I would go about finding her?? I located a marriage certificate in Augusta, GA but all it had was her birthdate... August 29, 1938... My father's health is failing and I would love to find her before something happens to him. Thanks!!

Here are some reunion registry websites, even thugh he wasnt adopted, its the same dynamic. If she ever looks for him and signs up for them, then you will be reunited.

Also, these kind of websites will have additional information to help you to search.

Here are some other ways to search for someone:

1) Do a white pages search on the name, and call any and all names that come up, tell them you are doing geneology research, and did they ever live in such and such place (where ever s/he lived at some time). If the answer is no, go on to the next name. If the answer is yes, ask a few other leading questions.

2) If you know where he was at a certain period of time, or where s/he came from, you can go back to highschool yearbooks, property records, etc, and compile as much info as you can.

3) You can call people with the same last name who live in or around areas s/he has lived and again saying you are doing geneology research, ask if s/he is a relative, and go from there with whatever info you get.

4) Pay one of the people search websites to get all the info yu can in one place ... it may be worth the cost ... they have access to places easier than you do because that is what they do. Make sure it is a reputable one.

5) Post on varioius geneology and people-search forums, and someone/s may offer to help you with your search.

Hope this helps some, and good luck!

i would suggest going to the hospital and asking them there, im sorry to say but the chances of finding her are slim i would say she may be deceased. im sorry but i would try a cemerty, by the sounds of it your dad isnt that young. but i hope that you find some lead for your dads sake.
