the person has a good sense of humor, i was just wondering if anyone has done it before... and how good were the laughs... we play jokes and send each other old shoes and single dollar bills, and spit in a plastic bag

i used to tease my son if he wasn't good he'd get coal and onions for x-mas (ok he was old enuf)
he called my bluff and said, yea, alright, we can bar-b-cue in the winter, hurray
point being that if you know a garden lover (a green thumb), it'd be a great gift

I sent one to someone I didn't like. I think that is the intention of that type of "gift." I wouldn't give it to anyone I liked.
