I'd have to side with the answer above suggesting this is limbo. Purgatory was originally supposed to be a place of learning, where souls were properly prepared to enter the full presence of God.
To be fair, in my limited time here, I haven't seen many deep questions go by, so it's kind of hard for people to provide deep answers. Tonight it seems to be an effort for people to form actual questions at all.

This board is a microcosm of the Middle East. But peep this:
Has ANY Purported Muslim EVER tried to prosyletize on this board? EVER?
Can you say the same for so-called Christians on this board?
All I've seen on this board is a great deal of Islam bashing. It's amusing to see how far the Christian walk has taken some of these people. Apparently not to the desired goal: Peace within your own soul...

I don't know if purgatory would be the right word here. I think it is more like hell actually. Not to me as I am not the one fighting about who's religion is best. I would think it is hell for the Christians who are trying to save everyone and the Atheists that are telling the Christians how wrong they are.

Indeed, and we agnostics are in reality the keepers of the One True Faith for only we realize that none of us really know where the heck we really are! Oh, no wait... Sorry! Maybe I'm getting this place confused with Limbo...
(Sheesh! I almost spilled the beans there!)

No, dear. It's just a bunch of us trying to learn from each other and being uncivil comes from some of the teen and immature jerks crowd. There are a few of us that are trying to be civil.

It gets this way most sundays, since most of the bible thumpers have gotten their weekly dose of hatred spewed at them from the pulpit of their local meeting house.

It's only proof of the closed-mindedness of society in general. People suck, and that's all there is to it, haha. I'm kidding, don't take me too seriously.
