Are we nearing the rapture? Is there anything we can do to prepare for the rapture?

The similarities between the current situation and the prophecies of Ezekiel 38 and 39 are remarkable.

As far as preparing for the rapture, those who do not know Christ need to turn from sin, and receive Him as Lord.

Those who have received Christ as Lord need to prepare as Christ told us to. "So keep on watching, because you don't know on what day your Lord is coming. But be sure of this: if the owner of the house had known at what watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and not allowed his house to be broken into. So you, too, must be ready, because at an hour you are not expecting him the Son of Man will come." (Matthew 24:42-44)

See these prophecies in the Bible regarding "the last days":

Matthew 24:7- Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after the other.

Luke 21:11- There will be... pestilences.


In Timothy 3:1-5 we see, "But we know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, betrayers, headstrong, puffed up with pride, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power and from these turn away.

As we see in those scriptures, isn't it what is happening in the world today? I think Armageddon is not too far away.

Interestingly, you might be aware of Jehovah's Witnesses preaching door-to-door. Check this prohecy out:
Matthew 24:14- And this good news will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all nations; and then THE END WILL COME.

Noticing how JWs are making their preaching a global activity, it is probably not long until they have preached to every nation.

Well yes I do believe that we are nearing the end times, though just because we enter the countdown to the end, it doesn't mean it will happen right away.

The bible talks about the fall and rise of isreal in the book of revelation. It also talks about strange weather, and war, and talks of war. Though earthquacks are supposed to happen, and not in common places like Los Angelas. I mean random places, like downtown new york.
