toddlers of that age are forming behavior patterns. they learn by copying their peers, other toddlers. if the screamers were allowed to practice that behavior, your little man saw that as something to try,and see if it works for him. any child will test their limitations, it is a way of learning acceptable actions. as parents we must guide our youth toward good behaviors, and acceptable actions.

He is about to hit the terrible 2s a lot of kids go though this whole tantrum testing thier limits thing around that age. Be firm and patiant, stant your ground when you say no to something, don't give in to quiet them it will only get worse if you do that. Good luck

It may be a coincidence or maybe he has learned from the other kids. My son whined a lot at that age but he was never around a lot of kids, so it could be natural.

crying gets attention, thats all hes doing, and at that age, hes pretty much seeing how far he can push u into insanity, hes testing his limits on what he can and cant do and although u may think he doesnt understand when u tell him something. he knows what ur saying if u tell him 2 stop.

he just got overstimulated. all children have different levels of stimuli and maybe it was just too much for him. maybe it gave him a headache! im sure babies get headaches too! just give him some time to cool off...with no noise or quiet classical music.

it will pass, my girls do the exact same when they get around other (older) kids that don't behave as well as they should
just make sure you discipline him when he acts like that so he knows that it is not okay, he is at the perfect age for time-out

try to just hold him and he is probably feeling insecure because the other kids are gone.

he is probably mimicking their behavoir- as long as he is not sick, which you said he isn't , try your hardest to ignore his behavior, I know easier said then done but he is trying it out on you - my daughter always is brattier after being aroung her cousin who so nicely taught her how to pull hair
