Short answer is, Eat less energy than you burn in a day.

Long answer is... longer.

Do you exercise regularly? If you don't then you should start. Play a sport, kick the ball around with some friends informally, take the dog for a walk every night, swim a few laps if you have a pool or lake nearby. Find something you like so you'll stick with it.

If you're pretty active already, then change your eating habits. Drink water instead of soda (an occasional treat won't kill you!) and eat several snacks throughout the day instead of one really big meal. EAT BREAKFAST! Very important, it will tell your body to burn energy (fat) instead of storing it.

Keep healthy, and remember that you're the one who has to live inside that body, so your opinion of attractive is the only one that counts.

Just reducing ypur diet wont help much but u have to do plenty of exercises. Go to a jim and do aerobics for at least an hour every day. dont forget to cut your diet little by little every day. Don't cut your meals at ones. Slowly reduce it and try to do as much as exersices u can. lastly avoid cabohydrates and fat , don't eat chocolate, pizza, ice-cream and other sorts of junk food. If u feel like eating every time avoid it by chewing a sugarfree gum.

Yes, eat healthy.
Whole grains, lean meats (chicken, fish, anything that says lean)fruits, vegetables, beans, eggs. No high sugar foods like donuts, pastries, cakes, candies, ice cream, soda, ect. Drink lots of water. Eat small meals through out the day :)

yes, eat a high protein diet **eggs, cheese, steaks, hamburger, chicken etc and no or little carbs, breads, pastas, fruits etc. (until u reach desired weight) you have to eat to lose weight breakfast, lunch and dinner, snacks would be handful peanuts (cashews etc) cheese sticks **limited.. when reaching your ideal weight, add carbs in to your diet in low quantities to shift metabolism to work harder..

Well if you keep your daily fat content below 15%, you no longer store the fat, rather burn what you already have. It is a chore to add, and to keep track, but it can work, I lost 60 pounds doing that.
