i never see them anymore i mean like not on tv around the streets or anything why?

i have a man that lives down the street and he has two dalmations, but your right I rarely see them

My daughter had two. The first puppy was deaf so she took it back to the breeder and picked out another one. This one was so high strung that it was impossible to train him. Sadly it had a birth defect with it's digestive system and died at age three.
Maybe they lost their popularity because they have been so overbred. They are beautiful dogs though.

I think maybe people are realizing that many dalmations don't make very good family pets - they (GENERALLY) are quick to bite, and don't deal well with poking and prodding from young kids.

A few years back we bought a Dalmatian puppy. He was mean
natured. We tried gentling him, but no luck. Our vet said, that they are a mean breed as far as being around children. We gave him away to a couple with no children.

My good friend has a dalmatian. His name is Keller since he's deaf. He'll play fetch for hours. He's a neat dog, but it's a little weird since you cannot talk to him.
