I'm all about security I have a Doberman Pinscher and a Boxer. I love them both! Nobody gets near my house or daughter without them sounding the alarm. You will never feel safer than being around a Doberman though they are true protectors and love their family unconditionally I'll probably never own a different breed.

this varys based upon what I want the dog for. I have owned Miniture pinscher for apartment protection.
I also have a beagle for hunting. both are great breeds.
I also want my breeds to have limited hair care so short hair is a requirement for any breed I own. My wife wants smaller breeds so this is another requirement. Both breeds seem to be very trainable and good family pets.

Dachshunds. Of course, they are handsome, humorous (at least in my eyes) and carry themselves with a certain air. Intelligent also. They provide good companionship when one is hanging around alone or wants a good brisk walk.

boston terriers...they are so cute and loving and I love the fact my LuLu used to crawl onto my lap and sleep at my feet. I miss her, we moved, she stayed with family until we could settle in, she got lonely and ran away to try to find us. We never found her. :(
