Hey,
The best thing that you can give to any puppy is the Hill's Science Diet Dry Food. For a husky you would need the Puppy Growth Large Breed. It's the best thing for every puppy and you shouldn't really feed it on anything else. You should also start by giving your puppy some bones, just small ones like the ones you can buy from the butchers, they are cut properly and wont fray or brake because they are not cooked. You should keep your puppy on a dry food and bones diet all it's life, that's what they would get in the wild and that's what their bodies are made to digest and work with. You can also put grated carrots in your puppies food, this is great for helping their eye sight and keeping them healthy, it won't fill them completely and is great to put them on if they ever get overwieght. The Hill's Science Diet is the best way to get you puupy healthy and fit and give it all that it needs to grow up healthy, big and strong.

What ever you do DO NOT buy cheap store brand dog food like wal marts Ol' Roy. It is nothing but fillers & terrible for your dog. It would be equivalent to you eating nothing but mcdonalds grease burgers your whole life! (SERIOUSLY)!
Also crap like kibbles & bits, or any dog food that makes its own gravy is LOADED with sugars which makes your dog get over weight & can cause bladder stones, & diabetes in your pet.
Sticking with dry food is the way to go. But if you have to use wet food. Make sure it is the good stuff Science Diet, Chicken is pretty good. I don't use wet dog food so I don't know the great brands of wet food,
READ LABELS just like you would for yourself if you are health concience
Make sure that isn't drownding in gravy, & greasy lardy crap.. Like Pedigree, Alpo, Mighty dog & someothers out there are CHEAP & very terrible for your pet. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.. even with pet food.
Nutro Natural Food is awesome, Eukanuba, Purina One, I've never used Iams but heard it is good.
I know vets recommend Science Diet & it's not the worst but it is not the best,, It is better than average dog food. But like another poster said make sure it is high in protein & vitamins & minerals too.
Good luck with your husky puppy!!!
I got a Siberian husky hes 6 now & he is the sweetest most lovable dog in the world! He would win an award for the Worst watch dog in the world cuz he loves everybody & everything!

Any premium quality puppy food will work for your puppy...i.e. Nutro Natural Choice, Royal Canin, Eukanuba, etc. Other good choices are holistic kibble such as Canidae, Flint River Ranch.

In addition to kibble, my Siberians get hard boiled eggs, carrots, raw turkey, beef, oatmeal, brown rice, etc. They also get raw beef bones to gnaw on every so often.

I would NOT recommend Science Diet dog food, or any food with corn (of any kind) within the first 3 or 4 ingredients. Science Diet is pushed by vets, but it's not an acceptable food, IMO. Look for foods with whole meats (i.e. turkey, lamb, chicken) as the first ingredient, and preferably with as many meat sources as possible within the first several.

I would also NOT recommend a "Large Breed Puppy" food of any kind. Siberian Huskies are NOT a "Large Breed". They were bred to be medium-sized working dogs, and they need their protein!

Good luck!

Huskies can have a delicate stomach. You can feed him lamb and rice flavor (I would recommend Eukanuba) if that's the case with your puppy, if he throws up easily or is a picky eater.
