Toss the banana first of all. Then hot fudge on vanilla, caramel on vanilla, and strawberry on vanilla with lots of whipped cream, diced almonds and some dried coconut.

I guess you can make it whatever you want, but a true banana split has chocolate, pineapple and strawberry toppings.
Personally, I prefer black and white sundaes, marshmallow on chocolate ice cream and chocolate sauce on vanilla ice cream.
