What do you think of a woman who would state her interest in you by handing you a card with her phone number? Would you think she was TOO forward, or perhaps desperate?

Need more details.....for example is this a complete stranger or is this someone I run into every now and then at the gym, grocery store, church, etc. If she's a complete stranger then I would look at her different....for instance I've had that happen w/complete strangers and they ended up just being booty calls. But a girl I run into every now and then then I think she was interested in more.....

It would strike me as confidence and from my experience I'd have to say it would be a turn-on. I definitely wouldn't see it as too forward nor is that an act of desperation. More women should be assertive about men they're interested in. There is a fine line that can easily be crossed though. I see so many women out here that are desperate for a man/husband that they just throw themselves at men relentlessly. That, on the other hand is very tacky but, simply being forward and confident enough to give a man a card with your number is a good thing.

I would not think that she was too forward or desperate. In today's world there is nothing wrong about a woman being assertive and asking a guy for his number, or asking him out, or giving out her phone number to someone she was interested in.
I want to ask, why do you direct this question to African American Males only?

No too both. Times have change and women are more forward today. That is find with me because it is nice to know if someone is interested in you with out all the games, plus it puts the ball in the mans' hand if he will call are not so the women should be ready if he calls are not.

I am part polynesian but dark skinned like my african and carribean brothers
I think it would be great - a huge compliment and it would tell me she was an assertive sassy girl (and likely to be like that in bed!) I couldnt wait to ring her
