I will be getting married in March. I am looking for some honeymoon ideas that do not envolve the typical sunny beach and snorkeling activities.
Also, I want to stay in the US. I love lakes, trees, mountains, rivers etc.

You would LOVE the Caeser's Poconos Resort. It's couples only. It's in Pennsylvania in a beautiful wooded area with lots of activities.

Take a look:

We're going to the San Francisco area in September for our honeymoon. That's peak time for a lot of events in Napa Valley, Sausallito, and San Fran. Plus the redwoods and the beaches aren't far away.

Arizona, Utah, upstate New York, Vermont, Virigina, Eastern Tennessee (Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge) , Asheville, North Carolina (you can see the Biltmore Estate too). Call your travel agent or local AAA office for brochures on U.S. National Parks and getaways.

How about Washington, DC, or Annapolis, MD? There's lots of historic stuff to do (Annapolis is very quaint) and there's a fair amount of State parks nearby with hiking trails and different water activities, such as canoeing.

What about Palm Springs? Or somewhere else inland in CA? Or San Francisco, best city in the world.
