What kind of surgery have you had? Knee replacement? Tendon or ligament replacement? If those fail the absolute nuclear missle to get rid of pain is to cut the dorsal rootlets of the spinal nerves. This way all afferent signals (pain, touch, etc) from the region cannot make it back up to the brain, but efferent signals (telling muscles to move) still can. My mom had this done for her severe knee pain and she is now numb around the knees but at least there is no pain.

Well, I can ask first, are you willing to change your diet? Stop the sugar. No more sugar. Try a rotation diet. No same foods more than three days in a row. Sounds like a Chemical imbalance to me. Allergy tests wouldn't hurt either. I didn't hear you say you have tried Acupuncture. Those are my suggestions. Especially, Drop The Sugar. Period.

Actually, I would imagine you have been through the P.T., and all of their suggestions. Ergonomics, sleeping positions, driving posture, many different activites effect the stability of the knees. Don't sit for long periods of time. Get a massage on your Sciatic nerves also.

I worked as a Massage Therapist for Orthopedic Surgeons. I performed Pre and Post surgery techniques. I would be happy to converse with you through email... Take Care,... Marilyn

Imagine for a moment your arthritis completely vanishing right now.

If, in a moment, your pain and stiffness melted away. And your joints all of a sudden functioned like a well-oiled machine.

Like a magic wand was waived, you'd be able to jump up from your chair and run around the room like a kid.

And imagine that you'd never have to suffer as much as a pinch of arthritis stiffness or pain ever again.

I know this sounds impossible right now, but bear with me, because sometimes miracles happen.

It was a gift from a woman on the other side of the world. From the kindness of her heart, she took pity on my suffering and taught me how to completely reverse my arthritis.

Today, I want to do the same for you!

My step dad could barely walk his knee arthtitis was so bad at times. My grandma had the same problem Both of them started drinking cherry juice (you can find it in most supermarkets now, it is straight cherry juice and very acidic) and within 3 weeks they both felt 80% better.

Cherry juice popped up in the medical field a few years back for helping to improve arthritis pain. What happens is the extremely high acid content of the cherry juice does something to your joints. In a good way.. It really works, millions of Americans now drink cherry juice for arhtitis. Most fo them say it works wonders.

Go to http://www.google.com and look up 'Cherry Juice for Arthritis' and you will find tons of articles on it. It is expensive, that's one draw back. The makers of it jacked up the price once consumers were demanding it so much, and because they know people use it for medical reasons. (Which means they know the consumers will keep buying it to take the pain away). nice of them wasn't it?

My step dad started out drinking 8 oz. two or three times a day, and once his knees felt better for a month he then started only drinking 6 - 8 oz of the cherry juice in the morning when he woke up. Some people drink it at night to avoid an upset tummy.

That's the other draw back, if you get heartburn easy or acidic foods (oranges) upset your tummy then so will cherry juice. So, take it on a full tummy (step dad's advice) and don't OVER drink it. Start out with 2 glasses a day (glass in the morning, glass at night) and do that for 2 or 3 weeks. Gauge how your own body reacts, this isn't a science so what you will do is on your own find out what amount works best for you. Then just keep drinking it once a day from there on. If you quit drinking it once you feel better, the pain will return. :(

He needed a knee replacement his pain was so bad, and this will be his 3rd year of drinking the cherry juice instead. I hope it works for you. Doesn't hurt to try!

Best of luck. (also make sure you drink lots of water, it lubricates your joints and helps cut the acid down in your tummy).

First, it is important to understand, that the human mind cannot accept anything simple. In other words complexity directly spells a lot of credibility and reliability for an explanation. It's something that people dont choose to do, it is just that way. In this case, blaming ones self is too simple an explanation for anything. Besides who would want to be the cause for something unfortunate. Ofcourse blaming someone or something else does take the blame of our heads. More importantly though it is more of a complex issue and is what is more ACCEPTABLE to our minds. If you notice closely enough, you will notice this phenomenon all around.

Talk to your Dr. about Cortisone shots. My Mom gets them and although they are painful, they help lubricate her knee. I feel if the person needing help for their arthritis has tried everything else perhaps a knee replacement is warranted. You should talk to the Dr. about anything you choose first of course. Good luck.

Are they sure it's arthritis and not RSD? I'm only asking because I was misdiagnosed for many years before the doctors realized I had RSD, and by the time they did, I was too far gone. Ask your doctor if there's a possibility that it could be this disease, because if it's caught early enough, it can be treated, reversed or cured if that's what it is.

Seriously, take a trip to hot Springs, Ark. It is well known for having visitors who are handicapped or dealing with some sort of physical alment/pain to go oak in the mineral waters of the natural spring water that is HOT. it works, give it a try. Plus you get out of town for a short while. I suggest you stay at the Arlington hotel. It's awesome. Seriously, mineral water- natural and free therapy. :-)

A total knee replacement may be considered if the conditions warrant. Consult your doctor.
