Yes, However you may want to make sure that you get the higher model that has HDMI. Blu-ray has a feature called an Image Constraint Token, that when activated will downconvert the images on the component outs to 580p (I think, may be 540). The studios have agreed not to turn this on until at least 2012, but better to be safe than sorry

The PS3 when it comes out in November is supposed to have a Blu-ray drive built in. So blu-ray discs should work in a PS3
