I know they are struggling, but I want to go in a couple weeks. Anyone know what the plans are?

While the park had stated the potential interest in selling the park and/or land - there are no immediate plans of action. Many feel that it is publicity stunt to get more visitors (there earnings are up since rge news came out). Even if the do sell it, it will not be for atleast a year and even then, it would probably be bought with the intention of stayin a park. Don't worry - it will be open and running when you go.

There was an article in the paper that said the company was thinking of closing their parks down and selling out to land developers, it'd be worth a Lot more money as condos. But no decision was final

Not closed yet. My kids just went last weekend. They said it's not well-maintained and the staff doesn't really seem to care about anything and they are not exactly helpful if you need information like when shows start, etc. In fact, they said the Batman show had numerous glitches and was poorly performed. They also have a gang problem. I hope you are aware of that.

I don't believe it's closing any time soon. Im going this upcoming Monday with my boyfriend and im sure hoping to have fun.. but not get on the new ride..hehe

but about Closing i don't think that it will close any time soon why because i think that all that is just a lie since now most of the people that go there have season pass.. they don't pay at all they just go in so what im assuming is that since they just built that new ride and spend lots of money. there trying to get ppl to go

That's so sad... I practically grew up at Six Flags and Disneyland.. I hate to hear that they are considering closing. Some of my best teenage memories are at that park.

i'm not sure, but i have been hearing rumors that it is closing at the end of the month and that it will not be closing. personally i think this is one of the least fun six flags, maybe just because i have been there so much. but have fun when you go!

I don't know.
I heard that they were going to sell out to condo development.
I have lived in Ventura Co. ( 1 hr. away from Valencia) for 15 yrs. and I just don't think it's true. They are ALWAYS packed, they just built a multimillion dollar ride, it just doesn't make sense.

It should still be open at least that long. Call the park directly to make sure if you are concerned.

i'm sure they wouldn't close the one in so. cal, especially in the middle of the summer, they're probably looking at closing others in slower parts of the country

The company just sold their Houston Astroworld park. They sold it to developers. Been there forever... we were all sad to see it go. Had new rides there that were sold to other parks...
