Okay.
Give them rewards for every week or so, that he doesn't bite his nails [ ice cream treat, 10$ ext. ] then he will be motivated to stop.
That's all I would say, I have other things, but that's for girls :]
Good luck!
P.S. My Nana's [GBA] bit her nail, and her finger blew up. She had to go to the emergency room and have needles stuck into her thumb. Then it blew up again. Soo. Maybe you can tell him that story, or something like that, to keep him not doing. P.S. sitting on your hands works.

I have heard of putting soap on the fingertips but it dosent stick very well with out a fingernail to get stuck under, both of my younger kids (one boy and one girl) bite their nails and the boys nails are way short, I have told both of them if they quit I will buy them thier own fingernail kit with clippers and a file and bag. I havent tired the bitter stuff, because I am affraid it will get in thier eyes.

Finger nail polish remover. just rub it on there like you would to remove polish and then when he goes to bite them he will get a really bad taste in his mouth.

put a certain juice that your nephew doesn´t like on his fingers like vinegar or lemon juice

if worst comes to worst take peppers cut them up and blend them (remember to use gloves some of the pepper´s juices can be extremely irratating) then brush the juice on his fingers.

This treatment is kind of like spanking a kid when he does something bad....so he learns not to do it again.

Tell him that there's more germs under his tiny fingernails than in an entire toilet bowel full of boo-boo. It's true. I told my nephews and they don't bit their nails anymore. :)

there are 2 ways to do it, either chop off his fingers with a meat cleaver, or shove his fingers into dog poo, if that dosent work, then stick his fingers into an electric mincer. HA HA HA HA
