My guess is because they have never heard the saying THE FATHER , SON AND HOLY GHOST... they wouldn't have a clue as to what the Trinity means. They have probably never picked the KJV Holy Bible up . These are the people who say MOTHER NATURE there is no such thing. This country sadly enough has too many atheists and TRY to make us stoop to there levels and take the word GOD out of everything . Real Christians do not bend and WILL NEVER BEND for any atheist. Anyway DON'T worry bout what ignorant unraised people say because it's a sin to worry Just pray for them because they lack knowledge BIG TIME!

Wow, I have to admit that these are some of the funniest, stupidest, and craziest answers I have ever quickly scrolled through. Some of you nut jobs need to chill.
Anyways, of course god is masculine. He created men first. It's apparent that god doesn't like woman. WE are supposed to obey our men. WE are supposed to cover our heads. WE are supposed to not be loud or independent.
(Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NAB) If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.
So even a woman who is raped in the bible must marry the creep. WE are considered nothing but property in the bible. WE must suffer the pain of child birth as punishment for Eve while men get what punishment? It's plain god is a male. People use that expression because they believe in a god that just IS. People who say it's a feminist thing are dumb. Feminism doesn't exist anymore. Ask any smart female under 30. In the Wiccin religion I believe they have goddess. Not sure about that one.

Actually God is not referred to as Son. No where in the New Testament or Old Testament does God say he was son of his self or anyone else. God is the Holy Spirit - as God is Spirit and he is Holy.., and he has a Son - Jesus.
TRINITY and certain kinds of One-ness INFER that Jesus is God - but I can challenge it. When Jesus said, "I and the Father are one" they are one THROUGH GOD's Spirit. Remember when Jesus was Baptized? The HOLY SPIRIT descended upon him and was in him. Jesus was / is the Ark of the New Covenant, a house not made by human hands. God and his Son were ONE as in Union.
In the Gospel of John, Jesus said quite clearly - that he spoke what the Father told him, taught him and shown him. Jesus was / is the EXACT Representative of God the Father. The Apostle Paul wrote Timothy and said, "there is ONE God and ONE Mediator between God and men, the MAN, Christ Jesus - not the God Christ Jesus.
No where in the Bible is God referenced as She either.

Well seeing that when the bible was written, the term "man" meant man kind, it makes sense. God created the human race in his image. By definition, the higher being can neither be male nor female, because such would show favoritism to one particular group. Just as god can't have a race, "he" can't really have a sex either. The dilemma of being a supreme being.

it clearly states in the Bible that God is a he because he created man in his own I'mage, because he is called the father and many other places im sure a good pastor can point out to you and any who wonders. the main reason i think God is refeared to as a she is because people don't read the bible and try to create a religion that works for them this "she" thing probably came from the feminist movement but there's lots of neat stuff in the new testament about that to.

I've never seen God referred to as a she, but if so, I would correct that person because the Bible clearly shows that God is a He.

No. God is a duality. The trinity refers to the Father, the Mother, and the love between them. When you read in the old parts of the bible they refer to god as "they," and "we." Everytime someone insists I was made out of mud, and not in God's image, I just think that ignorant people abound.

Probly because people who dont really belive in the bible have adopted this habit of taking everything very loosly and only to fit their own sinful porpuses, everyone has gotten so caught up in the politicly correct bull$**** that society pukes on you that some people are now trying to apply it to the bible which is horrible but i figure if they wanna pull that crap fine just keep your own faith true and untainted and soon enough God will straiten them out - God Bless

I think it should also be asked why is Jesus often depicted as a caucasion with blonde hair. I mean even if he was born that way, traveling through the dessert as often as they did, without sun screen would darken just about anybodys skin.
Also, why is the devil/satan almost always refered to as a man? I mean I am a woman, and as a woman I KNOW that woman can be just as, if not more devious then men. so its stupid to assume that God is a female, and satan is male.
Personally I do kind of accept that God was male. But I prefer to think of him as being above "sexes" and he's really neither. Though I do still refer to him as a him.... go figure.

One:
Many people have decided that they do not like the One True God; He doesn't "fit" into their idea of who they want God to be.
They create a new image of God in their mind to more closely fit their desired perception.
Two:
They are following a god of this world
Three:
They are deceived
