Ok... here's the poop. Rightly or wrongly, men get very jealous when other men befriend there girlfriend, fiance, or wife. It ain't about an issue of trust as other women would claim. It's pure animal instinct.
It's the call of the wild where men instinctively protect their females, just in the same way women have the instinct to protect their children. It's bread into every creature on this planet, and we're no exception.
Some men are more jealous than others, and some men will lie to you (perhaps to please you) and say their not jealous, when in fact deep down they are.
So, don't be surprised if your boyfriend doesn't like your male friend as your friend. It's natural that he's jealous. The only thing you can do, is reassure your boyfriend frequently that there is nothing going on between the two of you, and try to stay out of situations where it may look like your going to cheat on him (from his prospective).
Also, consider double dating every now and then. You and your bf, and your male friend with his girlfriend. So everyone gets to know each other.
In time then maybe he will see that your friend is really no threat at all.

Perhaps you should stick with your current boyfriend and let the new guy go after your best friend. If that is too difficult for you to experience, then you should talk to your best friend about the guy and figure out what the best course of action is. It might be smart for both of you to ignore the guy. Your friendship will be long lasting if you don't compete for the same guy. Good Luck

If you have a bf already, why are you looking at others, dear? Maybe you're not ready to be an exclusive couple then if you're looking at others. Your bf deserves better so be honest and upfront about it.
