THAAD (Theater High Altitude Area Defense) was supposed to shoot down incoming Hezbollah rockets. I thought it was deployed ...but after seeing so many rockets landing in Israel I don't know if it is or not.

Even as late as July 12, 2006, it was tested as said to be a complete success by Israeli government & foreign sceintist invitied to watch. They are not saying if it has been used yet.

They deployed Patriot Missile batteries, but they aren't very effective.

i thought they were still in test, and hadn't fielded the system yet.
But i am out of touch.
