If you are hoping to ever have a relationship with her instead of running away you need to apologize for not being honest about your age. Was there are reason that you told her that you were 19 instead of 18? Are you close to being 19? If you are close to being 19 then maybe you could explain why you said 19 instead of 18.
Any relationship is built on trust. If you don't come clean to her now, how will she ever believe anything else you tell her to be the truth?
Some people think that a little white lie won't hurt anything, not always true, because one lie will lead to another over and over.
So if I were you I would I wouldn't .wait for her to call you. Pick up that phone and call her, apologize to her for what was said and let her know how you feel about her.
Maybe she will be forgiving and the two of you will hit it of

You just answered your own question. You tell her that you lied, but you did it because you liked her and you thought that the extra year might make you look more interesting...or whatever the reason was. Also, what's up with your friend announcing your age to everyone? Hopefully, you don't lie all the time, because if you do, you have a hard road ahead in relationships. Good luck with Amanda.

I do that all the time by ACCIDENT!
Sometimes, when I'm thinking of my next birthday, I think about what it's going to be like when I'm a year older. If I think about it a couple of times in a day and someone asks my age, I always blurt out my age as being a year older! LOL!!!!
I don't know why but I have talked to other people and found out that THEY do it TOO, sometimes. LOL!!
Just tell her that.
Tell her you do that all the time. It's crazy. You were just thinking about your birthday a few minutes earlier, and 19 just fell out! LOL!!
Laugh too, while you're at it.
She'll believe you, once she sees you laughing about it.
Especially because there really isn't much difference between 18 and 19. That won't matter to HER!
You're safe as a kitten. Don't worry about it.

Why would you lie about only a 1 year age difference? I could see telling her you were 21 when really 18....but 19? Why bother?

Tell her the truth. Believe me, dear, the truth is ALWAYS the best way. Get off on the right foot with her. Actually, there probably are a few instances in life where a white lie MAY be the route to take...this is NOT one of those instances. It will be all right, love. Really.

whats the difference if you are 19 or 18. you're still not 21. why lie? just apologize and explain that you were being stupid. she'll understand.
also, if you are really close to being 19 (like a month or 2), then you can just say that you were just rounding up. :)

Boy did you start off on the wrong foot. I would admit my lie to her and give her your explanation. If she really likes you she will understand your reasoning. Keep a promise to her that you would never lie to her again. If you are going to lie about something that simple it is going to be hard for her to trust you. She is going to think how many more times are you going to do that? Or are you going to tell lies about important things? Make your wrong right and ask if you can start with a clean slate.

Everyone lies about their age. She doesn't care. If she brings it up then just say you were rounding up because you are like 18 and a half or something.
