How satisfied are you with your alarm co. you've chosen. And what are the things you hate most about having an alarm. And leave the dispatchers out of it just doing our job! I would say what alarm co. but don't want calls from yahoooooooo Answers trying to get free service.. And I know there's allot of you. I probably talk to most of you who have trble shutting your alarm off or calling in with your passwords. We service through out California, so let me know your likes and dislikes of owning an alarm. And for those who are thinking of getting one read your contract before making any decisions.
PS. If your fire alarm or burg alarm goes off and its a false alarm please notify alarm co. A.S.A.P. especially for fire, most fire departments do not cancel, and check and test your alarm once a month to see if we are receiving signals. E-mail me if you have any questions...

I have one from Brinks. I love it. Had a problem with the transformer after a hurricane once. Brinks came out and repaired it, no charge. I'm very pleased.

I have a home alarm system with a local alarm company and I talked with several different companies before I decided on one, and well, I dunno, I got one because I am away from my home a LOT for long periods of time, and well, if anyone sat in front of my house it would take them no time at all to figure out I'm not home (and haven't been for a long while). I'm satisfied with my alarm company, I've accidentally set my alarm off more than once and the company called me within SECONDS of me shutting off my alarm (which is simple to do, I don't understand how someone would be confused by it). I wish they would have put a delay on ALL my doors, also I would have liked to have contacts put on all my windows (but they would have charged me an arm and a leg extra for more than I have). But I feel pretty safe, I'm in a DECENT neighborhood, with a lot of military (so other people who are often gone from their homes for long periods of time) so I think most of us feel safe, besides, go ahead and break into my home, that's what I have homeowner's ins for... right??? I just got the alarm so the authorities would be alerted IF there was a break-in or IF by some freak accident my house caught on fire. I read the fine details of my contract (actually lack of contract, I can pull out anytime with NO penalties, unfortunately that meant I had to pay more for the equipment). I move around a lot being in the military so no contract time "served" works well for me.

I have an ADT and I love it. They always check on us if we enter the wrong code and one time it went off while we were gone and the police were there within 5 minutes. I love the security of having it and I have only had one false alarm.

it all depends on how secure you feel and if you realy need it. I have heard that they are very good but they are very expensive. First check the crime rate in your area etc and see if you realy need it.
