Thomas Paine writes: “But admitting, for the sake of a case, that something has been revealed to a certain person, and not revealed to any other person, it is revelation to that person only. When he tells it to a second person, a second to a third, a third to a fourth, and so on, it ceases to be a revelation to all those persons. It is revelation to the first person only and hearsay to every other…”

I say: Why is that when God talks to somebody, it's always DO AS I SAY OR I WILL DAMN YOU TO HELL. Wuzzup wit dat???

Step 1. Realize you are a sinner. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23)

Step 2. Realize that a price must be paid for their sin. ".without shedding of blood is no remission." (Hebrews :22) "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Romans 5:12)

Step 3. Realize that a price had to paid for your sin AND the price has already been paid by Jesus Christ! "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23) "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

Step 4. Ask Jesus to come into your heart and save your soul, accept His sacrifice as the punishment for your sin. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in that God hath raised him from the dead. thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9) - AND IF NOT?

I just asked GOD and He said TP was referring to using logic and reason, which was a gift he gave us humans to use periodically.

It is the book of Revelation. There is no "s".

We were all created with the gift of free will.We were designed to live forever in a garden paradise.Jehovah advised Adam and Eve what would happen if they disobeyed him and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and bad.As their creator Jehovah had every right to set rules and guidelines. He did not at any time demand they do as he said.We today are suffering as a result of Adam and Eves disobedience.
Another example was Noah and his family.Jehovah instructed them to build the ark for their own survival. They could have chose not to,and just perish in the flood.
In Deut.30:19 the disobedient nation of Israel were given this reminder:"I have put life and death before you,the blessings and the malediction;and you must choose life in order that you may keep alive."Again there was no demand. Our Heavenly Father loves us and wants us to be happy. However he does have certain standards and principles which he expects his people to maintain.

The last book of the Bible ,though not the last written,is also called the Apocalypse of John the Apostle.The Greek word (apoka'lypsis)translated denotes "an uncovering" or "a disclosure" and is often used regarding revelations of spiritual matters or of God's will and purposes.(Lu.2:32;1Cor.14:6,26;
2Cor.12:1,7;Gal.1:12,22)
Jehovah has ensured that His Word has been preserved down to our day.The Bible describes the times we are living in as "the last days".Our only hope for salvation is found in God's Holy Word.It is up to each of us to examine and study the Bible so we too can be found blameless when the end of this system of things arrives.

It sounds like T.P. is referring to civil/legal matters, not biblical. But even if it were biblical, so what? Did you expect this revelation to be delivered to each individual?

God doesn't talk that way. Do not confuse Jehovah, Yahweh, etc with God. For example, God did not give out the Ten Commandments. In fact, God has said that there are no Ten Commandments. And there is no Hell in the sense that you used the word.

Run as fast as you can from whomever is feeding you this goofy information.

Kirbi, what I would say is "up wit dat" is that you apparently have missed the point and the meaning of Christianity. Where do you get the idea that God's approach to people is, do as I say or I will damn you to hell?

Try reading the Bible instead. For example, in the New Testament, there is an account of how St. John the Baptist, having been put in prison by king Herod, sends two of his disciples to Jesus to ask him, "Are you the One to come, or are we to wait for another." And Jesus' answer? "Tell John what you have seen and heard: the deaf and the dumb and lame and lepers are healed (I'm paraphrasing, by the way); the dead are raised; and blessed are those who take no offense at me." And in another place, there is an account of Christ telling his followers: "Come to me all of you who are burdened and heavy laden, and I will give you rest - for I am meek of heart and my burden is light." (again a paraphrase)

God joined with his creation in an eternal love embrace in the Person of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He calls us to Him in love and is long-suffering, forbearing and compassionate. He came to heal us from our infirmities, and suffered for our sake even unto death, in order to free us from our enslavement to the devil.

So what God exactly are you talking about? "Wuzzup wit dat?"

It is honestly sad that so many people see God this way. Where did we forget about the love? Or why? Something terrible has happened. I must seek never to misconstrue God's name again. For people are easily led but not always understanding. I am sorry for all that I have transgressed against you, friend.

God speaks through a person, but you have the free will to accept the challenge and follow his requests. God doesnt force you to follow him or obey...that is your choice. But remember , with your choice is the responsibility to deal with the consequence. I can tell you first hand, if you follow what God says, it will not always be easy, but it is always best because he loves you!!! I guarantee - you will never be the same again!!

god is experienced by only chosen one's,who explore HIM within theselves, after enlightenment what ever he reveals is just verdit of the GOD,which is rarest of the rare, not obsolete.SELFREALISED SOULS never curse anybody whatever he does,HE only spread the true message of love for all ,since everthing depends upon ur own deeds ,then why he will damn u to the hell, where as u urslf is responsible thru ur deeds for hell or heaven.

the book of revellations was written directly by james, who saw the visions. not hearsay...translation...God will not damn you to hell for not obeying Him. If He sent His son to suffer onEarth and die a most painful death, just to save man kind, then why would He want to damn you to Hell for not obeying HIm. God doesn ot find joy in sending people to Hell, thats why He askes us to try our best to help others take it seriously...hell is not a joke!

I think you need to listen again to what God is telling you, but try getting it from a qualified source, like the Bible or your paster.
