so far the engine is traveling at low speeds, and a very short distance. is it possable to calculate thrust. the distance is 10feet in aprox 15 sec. you can see it at www.davesjetengines.com

Thrust is usually expressed in pounds. If you put wheels on your rig - tied a string to it - ran the string over a pulley - how much weight would it lift. You would also have a small deduction due to friction of the wheels.

Restrain it with springs. Measure the elongation of the springs. Check the weight required to get the same elongation. You the have the thrust in pounds weight delivered by the engine.

take a Spring and tight it to one end of ur engine(opposite way in which it travels) and calculate it when it moves
