Education: at least an associate degree. This proves you can take and follow instructions, research, write, and present or speak in front of others. It should also be the beginning of the understanding of our laws.
Personality: Okay, there isn't really a test here. A police officer should really be able to listen well, think critically, and react rather quickly in a legally and socially responsible manner.
Physical fitness: that's a given.

they should have a bachelor in criminal justice, excellent health, vision, hearing, and should know the laws better than the lawyers, impeccable people skills, and great assessment skills.the most important asset they should possess is INTEGRITY!!!!!!!!!!! they should be educated in the field, they should have optimal health so they don't have to be trigger happy and be able to handle most situations peacefully(peace officers), they should know the laws like second nature they are the ones upholding the law, treating people respectfully as they want to be, know how to assess a situation, potential dangers and the fragile high intensity situations. possess the integrity to be highly trusted to the people they protect without prejudice and/or judging, to be honest to self and community and don't misuse their power.more intelligent research and less brute force and manipulation.
