Take her on short drives, maybe a mile at first, try that for a few days then gradually go futher, a little at a time, thats how i did both mine, small one & big one.

First, to get her on a plane you have to have health certificates and will need to get those from your vet saying she is all up to date on vaccinations etc. They are only good for ten days after you get them so get them when you need them.

It is probably not a good idea to have people pet and play with her while she is nervous, even the sweetest most friendly dog, when under stress can bite. So until she is comfortable being carted all over town with you I would save her socialization for places she is comfortable.

You should find out why she doenst like the carrier.. is it too small, hot, uncomfortable for her? Is she able to see what is going on around her?

You might want to try just placing her in it, and giving her a treat while you are home so she can become accustomed to it, then take her out for SHORT periods and give her a treat right after she settles in and while she is acting appropriatly in it. DO NOT GIVE INTO HER WHINING AND LET HER OUT. When you get home even let her stay for a few minutes before you let her out and then give her another treat.

If you give in, she will think that whining is how she can get out..I know it is difficult but if nothing is wrong with the crate physically then it is a training issue.

congratulations your a young parent. Get a piece of material(blanket, pillowcase) you sleep with it to get your smell on it. put it in your pet purse or pet cage with your pup. If your pup is only a couple months old you may need the smell of the mother, to comfort it. Start out on short trips a walk, a drive around the block. Making each positive and ending with lots of praise. When you fly, be sure you have gone to the vet. for proper shots and get the vets advise about flying with your pup. Remember pets usually need something if they cry, that could be loving(pet it,talk softly) may need a drink or maybe it needs to go to the bathroom. Pay attention to your pups noises, you will learn what each one means. I would not let strangers pet or play with the puppy until you have bonded and then with time you will know what your pup wants, it will be your best friend forever. Good luck, and safe traveling, dont forget to give your pup water and potty brakes.

Yeah, basically what the last answer said. Get her used to travelling by going out a lot. If she has a favorite toy or blanket or something, let her have that in the carrying case. It'll make heer more at ease. Plus reach in and pet her every once in a while. It's reassuring, and she'll relax.

Try short trips and lots of praise. Treats will help her realize that the bag is where she wants to be.
Good Luck
