Let me give you some facts:
Go here to see how low the Casualties are compared to other major wars. Seems pretty low to me. We didn't pull out of Europe in the World Wars.

Didn't 9/11 pull us into the middle east. The fact is we were attacked and we are setting up a government that will never support terrorists again.

Given the type of enemy we face over there I am somewhat supprised the number of casualtys isnt higher. Then again, were fighting a bunch of fat, lazy, camel jockeys who would rather try to convince others to go out and die for them so they can continue to lead from the rear.
The truly sad part of all this is that there seems to be no lack of willing volunteers. In a society where the religion is also the law, that will allways be the case.
In case your wondering, I'm a Gulf War vet from the last go round.

Because so few people today even realize what a true war is.....considering that during WWII it wasn't uncommon for the US to lose 1000's in a single day. During WWI the last few days of the war we lost over 2000 soldiers even though we knew the war was over at 11 am on 11/11/1918, and we found out that an armistice was signed on 11/08/1918. And the last US soldier was killed at 10:59 am. Look at the statistics from the military from 2000 to 2003 on accidental deaths....not much different.

My philosophy is let the generals run the war....not the politicians...look at Vietnam...perfect example.

Those who cry about casuilities are stupid! What the hell do they think war is? A bunches of grown up man from two different countries getting together and dance, toss flowers at eachother, hugging and kissing eachother cheek, and have a tea together?

Casualities is very normal part of war. As normal as breathing.

They should be gladt hat the casualities is SO low compare to some other wars we use to have.

This is a 3 year war with less than 3000 american troops killed! If you think that is high in a war, you are as ignorant as the liberal Dems hope you are. Thats why it is even brought up! they are hoping robots who cant think for themselves will keep hearing there nonsense and vote for them next election. Anyone who whines about those numbers are a disgrace to this country and the people who fought and died to give us what you take for granted. Freedom and Liberty. Imagine these people complaining during world war to and the greatest generation

War is wrong no matter whether the casualty rate is 1 or 1000.

Your safer in Iraq than say walking the streets of Washington DC or Philadelphia. About 200+ murders and its only July.

Over 7 times as many people die on the autobahn in Germany each year than die in Iraq. (5,000 a year) Just think how much bigger America is than Germany, how many more people we have and how much more dangerous our roads are. Thats just on the roads. Thats not counting violence, drugs and accidents in America, and how many people die each year because of those, just in America?

The Media has decided to concentrate on deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan, each one is more than need die, but they fail to set it next to a number that shows how low the number of deaths really is. There is a better chance of survival in Iraq for an American Soldier, who is in a war zone with people purposely trying to kill him or her, than it is on the streets of America.

Thats right, being here in America, you have a better chance of getting killed than if you were in Iraq on patrol. Getting killed on purpose and getting killed on accident makes you just as dead.

When was the last time you heard of anything happening in Iraq? I'm willing to bet that if you heard anything, it wasn't much since the Israel/Hezbollah fighting started. The Media has moved on, there is a better story somewhere else. More things that go boom somewhere else. Something else to count in a war zone other than the number of Americans killed. Ever hear of how many Iraqi civilians are killed every day? They are killed by Insurgents, not American soldiers. I'm willing to bet it is 75-100 people a day. Unarmed men, women and children.

Although the number is high, it is not high for being in a combat zone.

But on the other hand, this war was pretty much pointless, shouldn't be a major war, and it isn't over yet, and may not for a long time.

Any casualties in Iraq is one too many. We should not have invaded Iraq just to soothe W's ego.
